We are using this ruler as a straight edge while cutting vinyl tile with a knife. This 18 inch ruler with the cork back works very well because the cork prevents it from slipping.

I don’t like that the ruler has an extra eighth of an inch on each end. This makes it nearly impossible to get an accurate measurement. Not Ike other steels I’ve had.
