invaluable for wrapping presents

Not sure why it's called a "letter opener". I bought it to cut wrapping paper for Christmas and it worked perfectly! Saves time makes clean straight cuts with little effort and was so easy to use. I guess for the next 11 months I'll use it to open envelopes but next December it'll be back in gift wrapping mode!

This letter opener is easier to use than the high priced ones. Many others seem to get snagged inside the envelope and the tearing process becomes a major chore. Sometimes I think people look at letter openers as status symbols - much like a bookcase of books that you never read. When it comes to simplicity and cutting open the envelope with the least amount of excess paper tearage this is the only letter opener anyone needs.
