Perfect for the job

This is a nice lightweight tool to open envelopes and it slides along very nicely to get the job done. It is an excellent alternative to a regular letter opener.

What happened to the little blue opener

This letter opener is thicker than the previous blue one that use to be available. It is hard to get some envelopes started. It also tends to tear envelopes more than the previously available blue one.

I had one of these for many years. I lost it while doing some heavy-duty paper recycling. I didn't think I would be able to find another but was able to get a pack of two from Staples. This design is the best I've found for opening letters quickly and neatly. Highly recommended.
