I was a little skeptical about paying [$] for a letter opener however there were actually two in the package. This opener works perfectly everytime. Don't buy the cheaper knock-offs they do not work like this one!

Slick Opener

I have been using a Staples letter opener for years. I recently lost it muddled by for a week or so until I had time to run to Staples. I felt like a cavman trying to open mail without my letter opener! A feeling of panic set over me when I thought they no longer carried them. My new one is Black and did not jump off the wall without a Sales Associate's help in locating it but WOW is it sharp! Although I prefer the blue color as it stands out better on a messy desk my new black one is so nice and sharp it glides through an envelope like a hot knife through butter. I think I should make it a habit to purchase a new one every year along with the batteries for my smoke detector.

I have to open numerous letters a week. I don't want to waste time with a letter opener that isn't sharp. This opener does a great job for a reasonable price.

I hate letter openers; always have. But this thing works like a charm. I told somebody the other day that I almost enjoy getting junk mail now because opening it is actually fun.
