Bring back the blue one !

The previous model sold by Staples (the blue one) was awesome. It was easier to fit into the opening and made a cleaner cut all the way to the end. This one rips the envelope every time and is too thick. I can't understand why the design was changed. Very unhappy with this - will have to look elsewhere.

Black Staples Letter Opener

I used to purchase the blue letter openers they lasted much longer and had a better quality. The new black letter openers not only are a little difficult to use but instead of slicing the envelope open smoothly they either tear the envelope or are hard to open the envelope because it seems to drag. Even when I clean the blade it still is not as good as the other ones.

There are look-alikes that work much better than this one. I think the blade angle is the problem.

Old Version Is WAY Better

The blunt end makes it nearly impossible to open a letter. Not satisfied at all. The old blue version worked a lot better than these ones.

The blade was not placed correctly so the paper doesn't hit the blade and just tears.

Don't Buy! Cheap Tears

Staples use to sell a more rounded blue opener that easily slipped inside any crease or flap. It was sharp. This opener is bulky to big to open smaller envelopes does not begin slice niceley. Feels dull. Tears and rips. Is nothing short of horrible.
