Great alternative to the metal sward like openers. Lightweight thin designed for easy usage. Sharp blade with smooth glide.

Let's face it -- envelopes are not always the easiest things in the world to open. Sometimes you end up ripping through the top fold and occasionally you rip whatever paperwork is inside it. With these great little letter openers that doesn't happen. The arm pokes rign under the folded part of the envelope and the razor cuts right through the top each and every time. As long as you're careful you won't rip through the paperwork inside. The two-packs come in handy as well. Even if you're the only one using the letter opener it's always good to have a spare.

We hired a new person and needed to set up his work space. All the rest of us in the office have letter openers that we received as give-aways at trade shows. I didn't know that you could actually buy these nice sharp easy-to-use letter openers except in bulk for promotions. So I was very pleased to find this product at our local Staples store. Bought it opened it used it. It works. Hooray. Always nice to find a small but useful product that makes our daily work just a little bit easier.

Slick Opener

I have been using a Staples letter opener for years. I recently lost it muddled by for a week or so until I had time to run to Staples. I felt like a cavman trying to open mail without my letter opener! A feeling of panic set over me when I thought they no longer carried them. My new one is Black and did not jump off the wall without a Sales Associate's help in locating it but WOW is it sharp! Although I prefer the blue color as it stands out better on a messy desk my new black one is so nice and sharp it glides through an envelope like a hot knife through butter. I think I should make it a habit to purchase a new one every year along with the batteries for my smoke detector.
