Just a perfect size for your hand. The cutting edge is sharp but your fingers are not near it. Cuts the envelope without making little paper shreds. None better.

I received a promo-freebie of one of these from a vendor - and I liked it so I thought I would buy a couple for the office. (At two for $4.50 glad to see there's financing available). But the design of this is flawed. The size and outside perimeter is identical to the freebie but the angle of the blade is different - about two degrees less acute - and thus is not nearly as smooth as the freebie. It jams often :(

Finally got the design right

I used to have the Blue opener. It was always getting jammed with paper pieces - BAD DESIGN. Then I saw the Black opener - curved away so paper does not get jammed. Works great.
