Good Value for the money

I purchased this unit along with a Samsung LED TV, and the combination is great. A lot of the features of the DVD player are replicated in the TV, so there's less need for them (i.e. - Internet TV, etc.). The unit feels like it's going to break, but has been durable so far. My kids haven't done any damage to it, which is more than I can say for some competing units. For the price, it's a great unit, especially if you don't already have the Internet TV available through another device.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I upgraded to this from another brand and love this thing and it's features. It has been flawless over the last 2 moths I have owend it and have used it almost every day. Love the internet features that are easy to use. The firmware updates easily when connected to the internet. Haven't found a disk yet that it wouldn't play.

Don't do it!!!

The reason I purchased this particular model was to add the INTERNET and apps to my existing TV and home entertainment. I was shocked to learn out of the box many of the Apps I want to run are not compatible with this version of the Blue ray player. Check the apps compatibility list on the apps page and see how very limited this aspect of the device is.
Cons: Did not meet expectations, not many apps work on this device

What an improvement! (but not the remote)

We replaced our older Samsung Blu-Ray player with this one, which has more features, better compatibility, is easier to use, is MUCH smaller and plays the latest discs much more reliably. It was easy to set up -- both physically and electronically -- and we were almost immediately streaming Netflix content with no problem. The "Wi-Fi Ready" claim is great, but it's less than clear how to hook that up. Perhaps the WiFi dongle is seems to need isn't available yet. The only other complaint so far (which kept me from giving it 5 stars) is that the remote -- while functionally clear -- is pretty darn ugly. The one on our previous Samsung player was pretty beautiful. For a company that has built so much of its reputation on its brilliant industrial design, it was a sad let-down to unpack that thing and have to put away our old remote.

Wired LAN is sub standard

The wired LAN port is too slow to download Netflix on demand. Other devices download at 5.5 MBPS Plus, the BD only goes up to 1.6 MBPS, not enough to get a film
