More then just a movie player

This Blu-Ray Disc player is outstanding. The HD quality is outstanding, i can see peach fuzz on peoples faces in movies. When i was looking for a BD player i already knew i should get a Samsung, but this one is perfect. Apps on it are awesome, the quality is amazing, and it had enough ports for all my other electronics. this product is also slim, it's width and length is perfect to fit above your other game consoles or surround sound receivers(Samsung also). Overall this is a perfect BD player for a apartment to a big living room in a house.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight

Read before you buy people. It is wifi ready, it does not have a wifi dongle built in. I read before I bought and since it was going to sit right next to my router I hard wired it. Talk about fast, wifi still can't beat a cable! Another great value from Samsung. It does everything I need. Not the fanciest or the fastest, but for the price it is a great find and I would recommend to anyone.

Cons: wifi not built in

Nearly perfect

Overall, I love this player. The features, speed, visual quality, all are nearly perfect. There's only one thing that puzzles me. It plays all my computer files perfectly, from USB or from DVDs, but over the network, it only plays certain formats. Why? Why, if I have an MKV file, must I either put it on a USB drive or convert it to MP4 to play it over the network? If the player plays MKV, it should be able to play them, regardless of where they are located.
Other than that, it's perfect ;)

I got it for a Christmas present and it has worked perfect since. The picture looks great and paired up with the Samsung Hi-def TV one remote for both.

Great picture, awesome sound. Super easy setup. Clean look and design. I have only one complaint and one suggestion. The remote control is ugly. Sorry, but it is the truth. If you are going to have great apps available, I think you should incorporate a slide out keypad on the remote. That would make searching titles a lot faster and more convenient. I do love this device however.

Good but there's a glich

I found the product easy to install, but if I did not have the LAN Adaptor I would have bought the newer and more expensive model. Also I found there was a glich in enter the security code to connect to the LAN router. I use 26 characters to enter the 124 digit WEP key and the BD did not allow me to enter a "b" in character #26. I had to change the router key to end in an "a" and not a "b". Then everything worked fine.
Pros: Inexpensive, Lightweight
Cons: glich in entering security code
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I know this is one of the cheapest devices on the market. But works great, it does its job !!!
My only concern is the menu when you try to play with your media (videos, pictures) from another device (usb), the menu is confusing for me, I can't identify the ports in screen clearly, is not intuitive, but once you are used you will be just OK.
