Great product but glitchy. . .

I researched quite a bit before buying this product and I was very happy to see that the price was great considering all of the fantastic features that were available with it. I did read that there were a few concerns from some people who had bought this product but I dismissed them. After owning this product, while many features did live up to the hype, the main feature of playing BluRay DVDs and even standard DVD's has been sub par, with dropped audio, un-synced audio and re-starting of movies at random. As trouble shooting goes, I made sure to update the product to its latest versions, to no avail. My next step is to contact customer support.
Pros: Inexpensive, Realistic color, lots of features for the price
Cons: too many glitches
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Just bought this the other day and set it up yesterday. It's faster than my previous blu-ray player and it works well. Can't wait to keep using it and seeing what else it can do.
Pros: Inexpensive, Lightweight

I really enjoy this Blue Ray player. The internet connection was great and easily to install. Netflix works great on it, and it outputs in HD (1080p) to our TV - it looks significantly better on the HDTV/Samsung blue ray player, than just on Xbox 360 to regular TV.
I don't actually have any blue ray disks to test, but it upconverted just fine on a regular DVD.
Pros: Bright display, Durable

We just upgraded to our first HD T.V. and bought this Blu-Ray player to go with it. In looking around I saw it critisized for not coming with an HDMI cable. No player in this price range came with one that I saw. I can't comment on the internet features or apps. I won't use that stuff. As an HD DVD player it is easy to hook up, very compact. Works great playing both regular and Blu-Ray DVD's. If it keeps doing what it's doing for some years to come I will be perfectly happy with it.
Pros: Lightweight

Please read my other reviews. I liked them SO MUCH that I bought TWO OF EACH, yep thats right two of each. Your missing out if you don't get these products!!!!! The picture quality can't be beat, even by plasma..... The sound is awsome..... The blue ray player plays DVD'S just as good as blue ray it self. I just can't say enouhgt about these GREAT PRODUCTS. Other than if you buy anything else your a fool and remember you always get what you pay for. NOW RUN OUT and get yours today before they sell out. Then is when you'll be sorry and only then. Even though I live in Michigan and we have the Detroit Loins I can't wait to watch the next game.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, don't miss out get yours today!!!!!

great player at a great price

I own 2 samsung blu-ray players and this one is better than the last (bd-p1590) it is notibly faster loading and the netflix interface is vastly superior. the other internet apps are great as well. I am still getting to know all of them. absolutely blown away to get this much technology for such a low price.
