Did not meet the expectation

Since I own a Samsung LCD HDTV, I thought buying a Samsung player would be a better option. So, I brought home this player which promised to show Youtube and other apps.
Youtube - many of the videos dont work, with some error saying "unable to retrieve URL...". However, there are other players where this is not an issue at all and the same videos play very well there.
Internet Apps - many of the apps are paid (used to be free and now costs money)
Disc Play - I tried to use a Blue Ray Disc there, and while loading it used to say "No Signal" few times. dont know whether this is how it is with every player.
overall, if I had known this player does not support all of Youtube videos, I would not have taken it.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations, unable to play some youtube videos
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great but...

Great features but this is only device on my homework that repeatedly fails to connect to the internet.
This would not be a problem but the device claims to run Netflix and Pandora and more but does not. My Wii has no issues with streaming.
Pros: Inexpensive, Lightweight
Cons: poor network access

Excellent quality for price

I have multiple Samsung products and have always been very satisfied with them. I wanted a BluRay player with limited internet capabilities, and this is an EXCELLENT choice. The only complaint I have is that to connect to a network you either have use CAT-5 cable or connect wirelessly. I prefer wireless, but the cost of the ONLY option (according to Samsung) is their usb wifi adapter, and it is over double the cost of a Belkin. I settled for a Netgear adapter that works with ANY system by going through the ethernet plug and it's at least $20 cheaper. Also, utilizing all of the internet features is quite a hassle to set up and it's somewhat cumbersome. But once everything is setup, the system is GREAT and I will DEFINITELY recommend to everyone I know.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, excellent quality for price, seamlessly integrates into home theater system
Cons: excessive setup time, rediculously high priced wifi adapter
I would recommend this to a friend!

Overall this is an excellent BD player. It has superb picture and sound quality, and the new Netflix menu is much better than it used to be. That being said I use the player more for Netflix watching than BD watching, so I would like it if there was a way to make the default power on go straight to the home menu rather than the disc menu. Also I would like to be able to reorder the main menu. Good value
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Realistic color
Cons: menu not customizable
I would recommend this to a friend!
