this blu-ray/dvd player is a good buy. it plays well throughout the whole movie. it has an internet feature, the only thing i didn't like was that you have to purchase an extra wireless LAN adaptor if you want wireless. (which i specifically asked the rep. at Best Buy where i purchased this, and he told me a different story, saying that it has wireless built right in the player and i wouldn't have to purchase extra.) it does give an ethernet port so you can use that too. the start up is ok. its not fast but its not too slow compared to sony/lg brands. sometimes it would be 10 sec. to 25 sec. wait once you put the disc in, but it runs pretty smooth and quiet. the controller that came with this is also good. its actually pretty sturdy and the buttons responds pretty good when you do press down on it. i got it on sale for $119 so that also was good.
Pros: Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, design
Cons: not a built in wireless lan

I have another samsung BluRay player in my Movie room and needed one in my family room since my old player was dying.
I read the reviews and the features and this BluRay is everything that I have expected for the price I was able to afford.
My only problem is that I am having trouble getting my shared folders from my computer to be recognized, but that is small compared to the overall value in this BluRay Player.
When I first installed it, the player needed a update then another one a few days later. If you have the patience and realize that even though it is new, it may have been on the shelf a few months and any problems you may have with the system, could of already been addressed in an update.
Would I recommend this, Yes in a heartbeat. Some will say it has a slow load time, and yes sometimes it does, but a second or two more, I think I can live with it.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Lightweight
Cons: having issues hooking it to computer

This blue ray player is awesome. Mine is durable. It fell and didn't break. I love it and the display is sooo clear that it looks like you are looking through a window instead of watching the movie or whatever. I have no problems.

No Hulu Support

When I was looking for a BD player, I was simply looking for a cheap player that supported Netflix streaming. So I ordered one of these online. The first one arrived wouldn't play any disks. After I sent it in for RMA service, I got it back and it works fine. After using it for several months now, I'm finding everything works find except for the following. It tends to load disks rather slow when compared to my PS3. I'm finding when attempting to load disks from certain distributors, it tends to lock up on the opening splash screens quite often, and I would have to exit back to the player's menu, then press the disk menu button to be able to play the disk. But now my biggest gripe would have to be the lack of Hulu Plus support. It makes ZERO sense to me why this particular player won't support Hulu. This is right now the deciding factor for why I don't subscribe to Hulu Plus, so Hulu loses money, and I would also consider buying a BD player, 3D or otherwise, from a different manufacturer, so Samsung would technically lose. It seems like people who are looking for a BD player that's not 3D would look elsewhere.
Pros: Inexpensive, netflix support
Cons: no hulu support, slow load times, locks up when loading disks at times, first unit arrived doa

While I always read over the User Manual of a new product, these two products were relatively logically set up for ease of operation. I like the quality of my LCD TV and my Blue Ray Player. Only time will tell if they are dependable.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight

I researched on the best blu ray player at a decent price and I have to say I am real happy with this one. It plays all xvid/avi including recorded media with no issues. Buying the WiFi adapter on its own is not a issue for me for I would rather run it straight thru with a ethernet cable.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Realistic color
Cons: still looking for something to complain about
