I wrote a review at least two years ago asking that Softsoap please bring back the original Honey and
Milk scent. Today I received a free bottle of Softsoap with a letter stating because of my request and others they have brought it back. Thanks, Softsoap!

Quite a while ago I, apparently with A LOT of other previously satisfied customers, discovered the "milk & honey" scent of this handsoap was changed to a very overpowering, awful, obnoxious scent. I called to voice my dissatisfaction with Colgate-Palmolive company changing something that needed NO changing. Honestly, I'd forgotten about this soap as a result. Yesterday totally unexpectedly, I received in the mail a small pump bottle of....THE OLD WONDERFUL SCENTED milk and honey! There was a message from the company stating the old scent was restored to this product and I am overjoyed!! (along with probably thousands of other customers). So, I'm giving them 5 stars for returning a good product to the market and one that that the same creamy emollients that don't dry your skin like other hand soaps. Five stars for listening to consumers!! THANK YOU COLGATE-PALMOLIVE FOR LISTENING TO YOUR CONSUMERS' OJECTIONS AND ACTING ON THEM. Not too many companies with mega-dissatisfaction over a product will listen to the consensus!!

The original scent is back!

The original mild, non-perfumed scent is back! It feels and smells just like I remember, no weird perfume scents and doesn’t seem to be drying out my hands. I’m so grateful that Softsoap listened to all of the reviews of us customers and returned the soap back to the old formulation. I’m not the type to typically submit complaints, but I was so glad that I submitted feedback this time. I received a free bottle in the mail from like many others and it even came with adorable stickers. The milk and honey hand soap is my favorite kind and has been for years because it smells nice and doesn’t dry skin out as much as other types of soap.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Yay! Back to the original Milk and Honey smell!

I was a loyal Softsoap milk and honey user for years. Then the fragrance changed a few years ago and I was extremely dissatisfied with the new smell.
I just received a sample of the ORIGINAL milk and honey fragrance and am extremely happy to report that it is just like it used to be. They reformulated the product to the original fragrance that is more of a subtle pleasurable smell.

Original Milk and Honey scent is back!

So happy the original Milk & Honey scent is back! Bought this for years for home and business because the fragrance was ok with my sensitive nose. When they changed the scent to something I absolutely hated I called to let them know how unhappy I was. The woman on the phone was very nice and said they had indeed changed the scent. Well, Colgate-Palmolive listened to all of us who complained and brought back the original scent. Thank you to customer service for listening to your consumers. I will definitely put this hand soap back on my shopping list. And thank you for sending me a bottle and letting me know my favorite hand soap is available again!

My family is soooo disappointed in this new formula. The company really dropped the ball on this one, as you can see from the HUNDREDS of bad reviews on this product. The original Milk and Honey scent was our go-to for many years, but this new fragrance is too perfume-y and pales in comparison to the original. We have decided as a family to not purchase Soft Soap any longer until they bring back the original Milk and Honey scent.

So disappointing

I've been looking for a replacement for the Soothing Clean Aloe Vera soap after its change in formula and scent. I was hoping the Milk & Honey scent might be it, especially after seeing some positive reviews about an earlier, milder version having been brought back.
Well, either the reviewer's sense of smell and mine don't agree, or my store still had the problematic version on its shelves. I bought some today - yikes. The smell is so strong it makes my eyes water, and the scent does not fade much over time. So back it goes.
I wish there were some way to know which version you're getting....

Awful Scent change

I've used this soap for so long that I cannot recall the last time I purchased a different brand. However, the new scent is FOUL. It is a sickly sweet mixture of baby powder and cheap floral perfume that sticks to your hands after you've dried them. While washing it feels like i walked into the perfume aisle in the mall. The previous scent was AMAZING for people who have allergies to perfumes and scents, and this new scent is absolute garbage. Terrible awful ridiculous decision to change it.
Cons: Unpleasant Smell
