Allergic to new formula

My husband and I have used this hand soap exclusively for the past 10+ years because I have sensitive skin and an even more sensitive nose. It used to be perfect for my needs, but the hand soap in these more recent bottles makes our hands feel very prickly and the strong, lingering fragrance is very unpleasant! I don't know if any of the other ingredients have changed, but I know for sure that the "fragrance" has been altered. It used to leave a very mild, sweet honey scent on our hands, but now it smells like a bad cologne or some kind of antibacterial hospital soap. Unfortunately, you have lost a loyal customer, and I have lost my go-to hand soap.

New scent stinks! Now dries hands! Beware!

Like many others have recently come here to say, the new formula stinks! I have been buying tons of this for years and won't be able to anymore. I am thoroughly disappointed with this change. The scent is now like a chemical perfume and it lingers on your hands forever! I washed my hands hours ago and even tried to wash it off with other soap, but the smell remains. This is coming from the bottles labeled paraben free. Apparently the parabens have been replaced with gross chemical fragrances. I am beyond disappointed with this change. Now I start the frustrating process of trying to find a replacement. Thanks for ruining a great thing...

Formulation Changed--YUK!

I've been purchasing this soap for a decade (if not more) and they DEFINITELY changed the formulation. It smells "perfume-y" and dries out your hands within a couple washes. The scent was so bad, I went under the sink and emptied our soap pump reservoir, rinsed it out, and put another soap in it. UGH! The original formulation was pleasant smelling, almost soothing, and hands never dried out my hands. I wrote to the company and they said they hadn't changed formulation since 2015. I looked at the new ingredients compared to a previous bottle and the ingredients were different. Why do companies mess with a good thing?

The new scent is horrible

Add me to the list of long-time customers that hate the new scent. The old scent was subtle and not overpowering and the soap was moisturizing. Now the smell is overpowering and perfume-y and the soap makes your hands dry. We bought the "new scent" without even noticing and had to wash out our soap dispensers. You could smell it outside the dispenser! If you like the experience of truck stop bathroom soap or find that drenching yourself in Axe doesn't provide the headache-inducing stench you desire this is definitely the soap for you. Personally, I prefer to not violate chemical weapons treaties when I wash my hands and will look for a new soap.

I Used to Really Like This Soap

I use to rally like this soap. I am diabetic and have dry skin due to this, so this particular soap did not dry out the skin on my hands. The scent was exactly what the name stated, "Milk and Honey.". But now they have changed the scent to a very very strong floral scent. It is so strong and unpleasant now that I can't stand to use it. If youve ever stood next to someone who has put on way too much perfume, that is what this soap's scent is like now. Extremely and terribly strong. Strangely enough, the bottle still says "Milk and Honey Scent" on the label. Sadly, I will no longer be able to use this.

New Scent is Terrible

I have been purchasing this soap for years and it had a wonderful fragrance. I purchased several of the large refills over the weekend and much to my surprise (more like disgust), the fragrance had been changed. It is horrible and I noticed it right away. I did not mention it to the rest of the family, but believe me they noticed as well and brought it to my attention. If you guys keep this fragrance instead of returning to the old fragrance, I will be jumping ship and leaving Softsoap behind. Bad decision and whoever thought this was a good idea wasn't very bright -- even worse are those that smelled it and thought it was an improvement.

BRING BACK THE ORIGINAL

I have been using Milk and Honey liquid soap pretty much my whole entire life. So when I went to my local grocery store and picked up a "New fragrance" bottle and brought it home I smelled the difference right away. VERY DISAPPOINTING! It smells so strong like perfume just like every other hand soap out there. Everyone in my family uses this soap because its subtle compared to many soapS on the market. For someone who is very sensitive to smells my family and I can not use this product any longer. We're buying up all the rest of the original scented bottles from the stores that we can find and are dreading the day when the original will no longer be on the shelves. Please for the sake of people who are sensitive BRING BACK THE ORIGINAL SCENT!

Have you changed the ingredients in Softsoap milk & honey Moisturizing Hand Soap? I have very sensitive skin. I have used Softsoap milk & golden honey Moisturizing Hand Soap for years. It is the only liquid hand soap I can use because all your other products are too strongly scented and they cause my skin to burn, crack and bleed. Why does Softsoap say it is dermatologist tested yet you do not offer a sensitive skin hand soap for those of us with asthma that cannot use perfume and have sensitive skin? I strongly encourage you to offer many hand soap products that are perfume free and for sensitive skin. Thank you.
