Ruined my walls

When I went to take down my pictures it literally peeled the paint off my wall. I also used the command strips to hang a picture on the cabinet surrounding my fridge, it managed to peel siding off the cabinet. So much for it being safe on all surfaces. It safely ruined my walls.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this product around 2 years ago and was very impressed, until the last 2 weeks. I was awoken in the middle of the night to a loud banging and smashing sound! I came downstairs to find 1 of my pictures on the floor with the frame broken and glass everywhere. I thought maybe one of the children had touched it and left it at that. Anyway I walked into my front room this morning and my second picture has just fallen off the wall, again breaking the frame! Now I need to buy 2 more frames and drill my walls! I have 4 children and I'm extremely lucky none where near the pictures when they decided to fall!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

So much for my vintage frames

I created an amazing collage wall from my collection of vintage frames. I followed all instructions because I did not want anything to happen to my collection. Everything was fine for about three months and then they all started falling off. I lost 4 of them before I finally took the whole wall down. It would be fine, except that one of them ripped the paint and plaster from the wall. Now I have to repair the spot and repaint it, plus repair the frame. Awesome. No short cuts people. These things are worthless. Just hammer in a nail.

Don't waste your time and money on this product!

I just moved into a new apartment and bought some Command strips to save the newly-painted walls from damage from nails. Everything I tried to hang--which were all under a pound each in weight--failed to stay on the walls with these strips! My shadowbox stayed on the wall for about an hour...??....then it fell onto the floor, along with my small figurines that I had for several years. The figurines shattered into a million pieces, and cannot be replaced! I will never buy any product from Command again in the future--and I feel the company should reimburse people who lost valuable items from the strips not working!

Misleading

I bought this product under the assumption that each strip would hold 16 pounds as the front of the box states. However, when I attempted to read the extremely fine print on the back to verify the weight amount, I was unable to even read the directions, even with my glasses. I had to go to this website to locate the information and I'm still very confused where the 16 pounds comes in. now I have multiple boxes of strips of 3M command boxes that I don't know what to do with. I like the other Command strips, but I don't plan on using strips all the way around the frame to hang a 16 pound picture.

Our Command Large Picture Hanging strips can support frames that are up to 24"x36" in size, and up to 16 lbs in weight. Each set of adhesives can support 4 lbs. So when all 4 sets from the package are used on the frame, they can support 16 lbs. 16lb is the maximum, using more than 4 sets of adhesives, will not provide more weight support. I followed the instructions 100% Also stayed well within the weight limit per strips used. after around 30 minutes the mirror fell off the wall and broke into pieces, I am so upset.

Absolutely rubbish, do not stick to walls, the Velcro is good but the wall side stickiness is crappie, waste of money

Waste of money

I figured i would try this out vs putting another hole in my wall. I follwed directions, used four strips on a painting that weigh about 5 pounds. About an hour after I hung, the picture came crashing down damaging my molding. Horrible product. FYI my wall is plaster with Benjamin Moore Regal Select paint.
