Purchased new paper shredder because motor burned out in previous one we had for many years. The new shredder has a much quieter motor which we appreciate since we live in an apartment. We like that it has small wheels to move it easily since the motor is pretty heavy. One reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the basket has a small window which is hard to determine how full basket really is. Our old shredder had a mesh basket that we could see clearly at all times how much paper cuttings are in it. Anyway the new shredder works well so far and is much quieter.

This lightweight crosscut shredder has the features you want without costing a fortune. It's a little on the slow and noisy side but for most home use that's perfectly acceptable.

20 days later I put four sheets in to shred and the thing stopped working. This is not 8 sheet shredder if it can't handle 4. It is inconsistent and unable to be returned! Basically a waste of money.
