Great Addition to Our Home Office

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I own a small business and work 100% from home. That means that all my printing mailing and other office responsibilities are done at home. For years I’ve used a small (but reliable) paper shredder for disposing of my confidential documents. But when given an opportunity to try out the Staples 24 Sheet Cross Cut Commercial Shredder I jumped at the chance. My first impression was — do I really need such a big device taking up space in my home office? I will say that after a few weeks of use yes I do! We’re just coming off of tax season and while our paperwork is now digitally stored we’re left with all the hard copies that we had to print and use for filing. We were able to shred them all in a matter of minutes. This paper shredder has no issues handling over 20 sheets at a time which is wonderful. The bin capacity is generously sized so it means we don’t have to constantly stop and empty it. My husband and I both used it to get a sense of its capabilities and ease of use and both agree that at the price point this is a great buy. There’s no learning curve here — just plug in and use it — making it very user friendly and super efficient in its small shred size. If you have a business that regularly needs to safely dispose of confidential documents I highly recommend the Staples 24 Sheet Cross Cut Commercial Shredder as an addition to your office space.

This shredder is a piece of junk. Please trust me on this. First off it does not cross cut. It cuts in long strips which clogged up my vacuum when I went to clean up scraps. Bag install is a joke and both times I tried the bag ripped with removing it.

Capable with a Nice Shred Size

Top heavy and a bit hard to move on carpeted areas but easy to use and I just set it in one place and leave it there. I really like the ability to shred 24 pieces at once and it has the capability of shredding credit cards and CDs. Document bin capacity is sufficient for personal or small business use (1-2 ppl). It has a nice small shred size. Loved how it shredded credit cards. This shredder has a cute window in the front to assess waste bin capacity and shredding limits. The look of it is simple and clean. The use of it is easy to figure out. Setup was quick and simple.

So Quiet and Efficient

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m very impressed with this shredder. My old one is very loud and could not shred a lot at one time so I wanted to get a quieter one. This delivered the quietness I wanted and more. I tried it out first at home and I had trouble finding the slot to put the paper in at first. The design is very sleek and you have to press a button to open the slot. But once I got it open I was amazed! The thing even shredded a paper plate! (Maybe shouldn’t use it for that often) But you can barely tell that it is on when you are using it! I can use it in the office without being an interruption to anybody. It also holds a lot of shredded paper and I have yet to unload it. Overall a very good purchase and I would definitely recommend this for any office space.

Quiet and powerful

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have been using the Staples 24 sheet cross cut commercial shredder in our office for a few weeks and it's really efficient. It handles large volumes of paper without frequent jams even when the staples are left in and the cross cut shred size provides a good level of security for our office. There is a nice LED indicator that tells you when the bin is getting full and the bin capacity is large enough that we don't have to empty it often. In total there are about 20 people in our office who shred documents regularly and the controls are intuitive enough that no one has had problems using it. The shredder is kept in a common area next to the printing station and it's remarkable how quiet this shredder is. It’s almost as quiet as the printer. I would highly recommend this shredder for any office needing a heavy-duty shredding solution.

This shredder frequently balks in the middle of shredding - even just one page! Light-weight in terms of performance. Have to shut it off after each use or it starts complaining. Slidy-top is a nuisance.

Great Shredder

This machine has the power to shred large stacks of paper (I tried 24 and had no issue) does not slow down and does not get jammed up. This has been a huge upgrade from our current shredder which could only handle 5 pages and would get jammed if they were not fed perfectly straight. The shred size is sufficient for our needs and the bin is large so it doesn't need to be emptied constantly. The bin is very easy to take out and dump into our recycling container. This shredder is large so make sure you have space to accommodate it. This is a great shredder for a medium to larger size office and fits under a desk no problem.

Great hardworking paper shredder

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently started a new job working from home and needed a shredder to properly destroy any sensitive information. As soon as I received this shredder I had a stack of papers close several feet tall that needed to be shredded. I was able to feed multiple pages through at the same time. Both the manual and automatic feed worked great and I didn't experience any jams or overheating. The bin was pretty good sized and I was able to shred a lot of paper before needing to empty it. A nice feature is that the shredder stops when the bin is near full so you don't need to worry about overflowing. I would definitely recommend.
