This cross-Cut shredder is quieter than my last shredder, is more secure than the strips I had before, was a good price on sale, is easy to use, & is sturdy. Cross-cut is lower volume to recycle than strips from an equal amount of paper.

Fix a problem

When this shredder displays the overheat light, that indicates other problems. Mainly it's clogged and needs oil. Turn it upside down and plier the clumps out. Then apply oil liberably on both cutting edges inside. Turn it upright and squirt oil directly in the feed slot. This puppy loves oil and is a good machine.
