The packing tape said is heavy duty but obviously it is a little thin. Besides it is not as sticky as I thought. When I put it at the bottom of the box it opens!

The pros - more tape at lower cost than brand name. The cons - This tape is very brittle and when the leading edge slips off the cutter and sticks to the role it is very difficult to get it started again without the tape splitting. I am going back to brand name.

Everything about the tape and the cutter is great except that the cutter is about half an inch wider than the roll of tape so you really have to hold onto both roll and cutter to prevent excess movement. Not that you can change anything about the cutter at this point without going back to the factory...
