The tape stuck onto itself and I had to cut a few layers to get it restarted. It kept breaking into thin strips.

tape doesn't stick well to itself

In order to make a tape that unrolls easily they've sacrificed tackiness-- the tape sticks OK to envelopes and packaging but if you layer it at all it peels right away where it's sticking to itself and hangs up the packaging when the peeled-away part sticks to stuff you don't want it to stick to. Won't be buying this again!

AWFUL! NOT THE TAPE THAT USED TO BE UNDER ITEM NUMBER

This tape is AWFUL! I used the item number from our previous orders. I have always fought tooth and nail to pay extra for the Staples Quick Start tape. It was all we ordered at the office so I am sure that is the item number. THIS IS NOT IT. This stuff is TERRIBLE! Unlike the quick start tape which was silent and odorless this is noisy and smelly and it splits terrible and it is hard to get it started again. BRING BACK THE QUICK START TAPE! Will be requesting a refund.

I use this to package books for shipment in cardboard boxes. It is incredibly easy to use and very reliable. I hate "normal" tapes as I am alwsys wasting a lot and being aggravated. This tapes works just as it should and there's never any waste.[...]

I USE A LOT OF TAPE. NO LOSS WITH THIS AND QUICK START IS AMAZING. YOU CAN ALWAYS FIND THE END OF THE TAPE AND BINGO YOU ARE READY TO GO!!!!!!!!!!

All my life I've fought with packing tape. Trying to find the end running my nails around and around to find the start. This tape is the best. Pick it up and use it. Bingo. No struggle. It's strong. Easy to use. Life is better with it!
