The new design is very disappointing. The tabs tear and the bags don't seal as well. They also are much harder to seal and to open.

What happened to the sturdy bags we used to get?

As you can see from comments, many are unhappy with what ever change has been made to your freezer bags(for me specifically the 1gal freezer bags). Difficult to open the ziploc bag straight out of the box, more often than not ripping along the ziploc! Yes, I am sure you have a large part of the freezer bag market, but what ever you did WILL change that. Unless your manufacturing process changes, you have lost me as a customer for this size bag. Good luck!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. These freezer bags are a must have in our home. I do not know how every household in the US would not have these in stock. These bags sit, flat making loading them easy. The ziplock makes for easily sealing the contents in. The zip hold tight and the bag are thick and do not break easily. I do recommend this product to others.

Ziploc's USED to be great storage bags. But the latest design makes it impossible to keep the bags CLOSED -- which is the whole purpose of these bags! The blue side of the "seal" rips apart EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Ziploc...you have a problem. Fix it!

I have used Ziploc Freezer Bags for years and never had a problem... until now. When you go to close the seal the bag tears along the seal. This has happened to more than 1/2 of the bags in the box that we have used so far. The box UPC is 025700710356 with "M1900301w0732" above the UPC. After reading the most recent posts I agree that this series of bags have been cheapened to point of making the customer VERY unhappy.

I used to always use the Ziploc Freezer bags with the double zipper (quart and gallon) to freeze and store food in the refrigerator and freezer. I recently started using the bags with the easy open tabs but the quality of the bags has really depreciated. It seems like every other bag will leak as soon as I put anything with liquid in them. Doubling the bag only works some times. They are leaking from the bottom of the bag and not the zippered area. I'm afraid to freeze raw meat because when it comes time to defrost it, the blood leaks out all over the refrigerator shelves. The plastic also seems more stiff and not as pliant as they used to be.
