[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. Ziploc gallon freezer bags are so versatile. Not only are they great for protecting food from freezer burn when freezing but they have so many other uses. Some of my favorite uses are to use them for marinating raw meat. I find they are great for travel. I keep them in my suitcase and always end up using them. They keep my toiletries and other small items together and protect my clothes in the event of toiletries leaking. The kids use them for their treasure collections. We end up with Ziploc gallon freezer bags with seashells or special rocks. Use your imagination and their usefulness is endless.

These bags are terrible against freezer burn. I use to love them because they were so durable and thick. Not anymore. Now they're really thin and fragile and rather useless.

Every time I try to open one of these bags, it rips at the top and I have to use my nail to run along the seam to open. VERY disappointed!!!!

Ziploc freezer bags are the only real freezer bags. I have been using these bags forever and they have never let me down. My husband is a hiker and when he wants his clothes to stay dry he will only use Ziploc freezer bags. It is important to stay well stocked in them.

The new design is very disappointing. The tabs tear and the bags don't seal as well. They also are much harder to seal and to open.
