I understand the need to improve things in our ever changing world but don't fix what isn't broken! Your freezer bags WERE the best on the market. Then you tried to improve what was already a exceptional product. You didn't need 'blue tabs' for opening. They have only created a bigger more glaring problem that you did not have before. Just stick to a quality bag that closes and seals well. Keep a strong ml and be done. Very disappointed! And in that disappointment comes loss of brand allegiance. DON'T FIX WHAT WAS NOT BROKEN IN THE FIRST PLACE

Definitely will be my next freezer bag Purchase

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Receiving the Ziploc brand Freezer bags through BzzAgent to try out has been a great experience for me and my storage capabilities. These stay open design, gallon freezer bags have stored a variety of foods for my family, varying from leftover shredded cheeses and lettuce from my son's birthday party, to burger and soups prepared for the work week. Ziploc's stay open design makes it easy for one person to pour whatever food item in the bag on their own, versus needing another set of hands to not create a mess. These bags also have a great seal to them when closing, so even after a week of storage in the refrigerator or longer in the freezer, my foods stayed fresh for my next use. No spills, leaks or extra air in the ziploc bags made it so no messes were detected after food storage in the refrigerator or freezer. I really don't have any negative things or cons to these freezer bags as they worked better than other sandwich and freezer bag brands I have used in the past.

I have used Ziploc freezer bags for very long time. I use them for storage of fish and game that I process for my home. They were always a reliable product until now. The NEW Ziploc Gallon Freezer Bags with Easy Open (should be called Easy Tear) strip are junk. We used a few out of the box without incident and then got into the bad ones. The bags tear just below the blue strip every time you try to open one. I thought, "Gee I guess they got into a bad batch." Then I looked at some things that had recent been stored in the freezer. Three bags evidently had a bad seal because ice crystals had already formed on the meat. So I looked online and found the complaints go back almost 6 months for these bags. Ziploc should have pulled their bad products back from the retailers. I am greatly dismayed as to why a trusted brand wouldn't fully test a product before release and even more surprised they didn't pull the bad product. I guess I have to find a new brand.

These new easy open tab bags are awful. The first time you try to open the bags the top zipper rips out. Serious design or manufacturing flaw.

Question: What has happened to the 3/4 gallon bag. I found them somewhere...Texas?, Idaho?, Kansas?, Missouri?, but definitely not Arizona! It has been some years but I sure miss this size.

Buy freezer bags to support food prepping for the week. Last couple of boxes were damaged, but not until you defrosting could you tell. They leak, do not fully seal, quality control manager needs to do a better job.
