Great idea

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. The best part about these bags is the closure. They are very snappy, so there's no question about whether or not you sealed it. I do like the idea of being able to stand the bag up and fill it with a liquid or anything, really. But filling with a liquid is risky once you get it half full. Anything over halfway, and you might be cleaning up a spilled over bag. My only real complaint is that the perforated box doesn't open well/cleanly. I found myself trying to finish opening the box (so it wouldn't look so jagged) with a pair of scissors. As expected, I lost a bag by cutting into it with the scissors... even though I was super careful. Overall it's a good product and a great idea.

The old Ziploc sandwich bags worked fine. I'm on my 2nd bag of the new ones, and they are terrible. Couldn't tell you if the seal sticks, because I'm finding it impossible to seal in the first place. Also, they feel flimsier than the old ones. I have bought my last box of bags..will try to find some alternative.

I've used Ziplock for years and was happy with their performance, but recently every other bag I open tears! It's almost as if the zipper is too strong for the tab part above the seal that you use to open them. How in the world did this design make it through quality control? I guess I'll be looking elsewhere as these are a total failure!

Bought FREEZER bags, seled them and put them in the FREEZER. Go to open them and the pull apart tab fails. You know this, people are complaining about it on this page and on the facebook page. FIX IT. Then tell us you FIXED IT. If this was a car, it would be recalled. The ZIPLOC Freezer bags DO NOT WORK!

Improved Ziploc bag for marinating meats/prepping grill food

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Ziploc Freezer bag was perfect for staying perfectly still and open as I prepared to cook our chicken which had been marinating in BBQ Sauce and other spices for over two hours. It was so easy to set the bag with this design, it was clearly labeled with what was inside, and if it hadn't all been cooked, would be very simple to close up and seal and return to the fridge or freezer. This seems to be a solid improvement and I would highly recommend this over other products out there that promote this feature.

My wife was breading chicken as she has done for years with the gallon freezer bags (because they were tough) when the bottom split and dumped everything out. You can see the weak spot in every bag in the box. Rolling a bit of air in a new bag will cause a failure along the weak spot as if the bag was cut. If JJ cares to see this problem I have photos or will send the bags to you. I hope this is a bad batch and not common.
