Just about every gallon freezer bag rips when opened and then you really have to struggle to open. My disabled wife absolutely can not open them anymore. Have to dispose of the rest of the unused bags....waist $$

I have used Ziploc bags for many years. The 'new' tab seal is a good design with poor workmanship or a poor design. Most of the time when I unzip the bag, the bag tears just below the seam. Also the bags are very difficult to unzip. they tend to stick together too tight.

New design is harder to open and close securely. Enough force is required to open them that about the bag will tear about half the time.

As others mentioned, these bags leak and rip along the seam, easily and often. After several issues with any liquids (even not freezing/defrosting), the bags leak on the seams. Nothing like soup or stock dripping everywhere. These needs to be redesigned or manufactured to better quality. Wasted so much time and money, have tried replacing, double bagging, nothing works. Switched to no name version at half the price and no problems.

I've been using this product forever with no issues, it was great. Then this new easy open tab happened and EVERY SINGLE one of the freezer bags I've used from the last two packs (at least 40 bags and counting) the seal just keeps ripping off the one side and I can't seal it back up. I could handle it if it was a few bags, but not every single bag, how frustrating! Apparently I'm not the only one throwing all of my money down the drain on these "new and improved" bags. Will be looking for alternative brands.
