The main thing about Ziplock bags is that they do not skimp on the quality and thickness. I also appreciate the small details, like the grippy tabs to open the bags and the way that you can sit the bag up and fill easily right on the counter. I've never been able to do that with any other bag, so this is very helpful.

There is a major flaw in these bags. The ends leak. Won't hold air or water. I had to use sandwich bags instead. Will be pursuing a refund.

I have to add my two cents worth to the poor reviews. I used to reuse these bags several times to freeze baked goods and waffles. I still have some bags of the old design and they are holding up much better than the new ones. I've notices several new bags have ripped at the sides near the opening, and all the manual seals fail after the second or third time I open and attempt to reseal them. the colored strips break and seals fail. I'll never buy this design again. It's easy to use - but only one time each!

Great product, stay open not intuitive

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love ziplock brand products. I knew this was a stay-open design, so I didnt feel like directions were necessary. I began to fill the bag with our leftover dinner (birria - delicious!) and couldn't figure out how to make it stand up. Of course, there are directions on the box and now I know how to make it work, but it was a little difficult to figure out.

Top of bag is too thin

With the last purchase of the gallon freezer bags, when I try to open the closed bag, the top usually tears instead of opening. This is very frustrating. If I didn't like the ziplock bags so well, I'd start looking for a different alternative to them. Rest of the bag works just fine but trying to pen is the problem. The material is too thin to open the bag without tearing the top off.
