[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really enjoyed trying out the new stay open bags from such a trusted company in plastic freezer bags. It has a line that helps you to know exactly where to fold the bags over to unlock the feature of the bag staying open while you place things inside. I find this feature most useful for placing meat inside to freeze, fruits, veggies or any liquids that need to be poured in like soup. There is still a section on the outside the bag to label what you have placed inside. It closes easily as a push zip close. Strong thick bags and a gallon size is perfect for adding a large quantity. Experienced no freezer burn on the food I froze inside of the bags. I would recommend it highly to friends and family who freeze different food items. I first tried it with chopped onions and peppers. I also used the bags for sliced fruit and meat products such as chicken breast.

I have always used Ziploc brand bags but have always preferred the freezer bags over the standard bags, even for everyday use. I especially like that they now are able to stand on their own so no additional hands are needed. My only complaint which is minor is just the perforation on the cardboard box to help have an opening to grab the bags while in a drawer needs to be done a little better. Otherwise, I will continue to purchase this item as it is number one in bags for my family.

Stand alone gallon freezer bag! Yes, please!

Usually I have to ask my husband or 6 year old daughter to hold the bag for me. I did fold down the top 2 times to help stabilize it. I love the Ziplock brand because they are durable and I know nothing will get freezer burn.

I only ever purchase Ziploc bags because the seals are tight and don't leak, and they keep food well. I used these gallon bags to store soup tonight, and I absolutely love how they stand up while I'm filling them. Once I got all the soup in and closed it, it went right into the freezer. I know with Ziploc bags that my food is safe and secure. I love these bags and will continue to purchase them in every size.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These work pretty well, but I can't say they're much better than the generic ones I usually use. The "Stay Open Design" didn't really work that well, at least for what I was using it for.
