I can live without freezer bags. I use the Ziplock brand exclusively. The quality is important to me - it keeps freezer burn away! More expensive than discount brands but it's worth paying more to get a bag that performs well.

Ziploc freezer bags! They are not revolutionary, they haven't changed that much over the years, but they are so reliable. I make sure I always have some handy. Extras in the basement! I love the original Ziplocs, and the slider bags. Much easier to seal.
