I used to always use the Ziploc Freezer bags with the double zipper (quart and gallon) to freeze and store food in the refrigerator and freezer. I recently started using the bags with the easy open tabs but the quality of the bags has really depreciated. It seems like every other bag will leak as soon as I put anything with liquid in them. Doubling the bag only works some times. They are leaking from the bottom of the bag and not the zippered area. I'm afraid to freeze raw meat because when it comes time to defrost it, the blood leaks out all over the refrigerator shelves. The plastic also seems more stiff and not as pliant as they used to be.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Best ziplock bags!

I hate the new zip lock bags. We bought the gallon size with "easy open" tabs... No, they are not easily opened, and regularly the plastic fails before the seal can be unzipped and the bag opened. Some people may say that's good, but what is the use of bagging something if you cant then get it OUT of the bag??

Seal rips apart when first trying to use the bag, can't

I have purchased 2 packs (3 boxes in each pack) of the Ziploc Easy Open Tab Large Freezer bags - all 6 (yes SIX) boxes have the same issue - the seal rips from the top of the bag when you first try to open it. Without the seal, the bag is.....ummm, fairly useless. Thinking this was a defect in the first box I opened a second box, then a third, fouth and fifth boxes - so far 40 bags/box X 5 boxes, 200 bags have ripped seals. I am not even trying box #6.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
