Useful office task light

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 5 in 1 Productivity Light has a sleek minimal design with a compact footprint on your desk. It works fine set up on your work desk providing good warm light during a zoom call or a red Busy indicator sign for others when you are working in the office. It also has a range of warm or cool swirling tie dye light displays that are fun for creating a mood. Out of the 5 modes I liked the warm light setting the best for when I wanted to turn the lighting down to reduce strain on my eyes. The warm and busy light were the most helpful for use in my office. Areas that could be improved when you move the foot mount bracket from the bottom to the side of the light for attaching to the top of your monitor the bracket isn’t strong enough to hold the light up and will just fall off. Additionally the provided USB C charging cable is pretty short making it tricky to plug in and place the light in the spot you might want on your desk. I had to use one of my own cables to plug it in and set it up on my desk. Otherwise the light is charming and has useful features for an office setting. Here's a breakdown of my experience. I was immediately impressed by the sleek and modern design of this light. It doesn't look bulky or intrusive on my desk; instead it adds a touch of understated elegance. Overall the look and design are both aesthetically pleasing and functional seamlessly blending into my workspace. The five distinct lighting modes is a fantastic feature each thoughtfully designed for specific needs. Meeting Light (Ring Light): This mode is a brilliant addition for virtual meetings. The even diffused light significantly improved my appearance on camera eliminating harsh shadows and providing a more professional look. Happy Light: Simulating natural sunlight this mode offered a bright and invigorating light. On overcast days it provided a much-needed boost helping to elevate my mood and energy levels. Breathing Light: This unique mode gently moves in a rhythmic pattern designed to guide through calming breathing exercises. While I didn't use it constantly for work it was a welcome feature for taking short mindfulness breaks. Focus Light: This mode provided a cool and concentrated light ideal for tasks requiring intense concentration. It felt like it sharpened my focus and helped me stay on track. Relax Light: Emitting a warm and soft glow this mode was perfect for unwinding after work. It created a comfortable and soothing ambiance making it ideal for reading or simply relaxing at my desk. While all the modes offered valuable benefits my most frequently used and favorite mode was the Focus Light. It helped me stay engaged and productive during demanding work sessions. Brightwell Light

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall the Brightwell light is small compact and easy to use. I loved that it could attach to my laptop and serve as additional light on work calls. The five light modes offered different color palates but in my opinion the best feature was the red “busy” light that faced away from me. I have young children who don’t always realize when I am in a meeting on my computer. Having the word “busy” lit up in red stopped them from interrupting which I really appreciate! Outside of the busy light I found the breathing mode to be most beneficial. I appreciate deep breathing exercises and this provided a quick and easy way to complete a sequence. I rarely used the light at 100% I tended to keep the power at 60% for my liking. I powered the light through the USB port on my computer but it would have been more beneficial to me if the light were cordless and rechargeable. Between the laptop charger my external hard drive my other accessories and the light all the cords coming off my computer was starting to drive me crazy.

Brightwell Light Shines

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Brightwell light has been a great addition to my home office. I’ve really enjoyed using it during my day to day projects and especially for all of the virtual calls (Teams Zoom etc.) that I’m on every day. At first I was a bit skeptical as the light is rather small but boy was I wrong. While small in size it sure packs a punch with tremendous lighting in my office. It adds a good amount of brightness when I need it. I have a good amount of natural light in my office in the afternoon but deal with a lot of shadows in the morning. It’s a nice option to have instead of having to rely on the canned lighting in the room - which frankly can be too much at times. The different options are great to be able to choose from depending on what I’m doing throughout the day. I really like the focus setting. It’s warm and calming and actually provides a nice amount of additional light and helps me focus when drafting emails or working on projects. The busy setting has been a huge help as I have two young kids and they have quickly learned that when the bright red busy light is on to not bother dad cause they know I’m busy. It’s a great way to let people know not to disturb me because I need to focus. At first I was a bit concerned if it would be durable and stay on my monitor when setting it up. After getting it set I haven’t had to think about it again. It clips right on and really doesn’t move. It is easy to use and took about 5 minutes of playing around to get familiar with getting comfortable with the different settings. After that it’s been smooth sailing and as my day evolves I’m able to easily switch the settings to adjust to my constantly changing work day. This has been a great addition to my home office and definitely a product I will be recommending to friends & colleagues.

Very Cool Concept

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this light as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel and previously didn’t know much about productivity lighting. I use a ring light for online meetings but otherwise had never really considered the lighting in my home office. I read through the manual and made sure I was using the right lighting at the right times and I do feel like it made me more productive although I was also more aware of my work since I was using the light. (Regardless more productive is more productive!) I love that the light has a stand and also a monitor clip which gave me options for where to place it. The pill shape is sleek and cute so it fits in with my office decor (much better than my ugly ring light). It’s super easy to operate and the manual explains when to use each setting. I liked the productivity mode best but also used the meeting mode often for meetings and I like the “ritual” of changing from meeting to productivity because it helped me change my mindset between work functions. I travel for work and I like the compact size because I can easily toss this into my bag and bring it with me and it doesn’t take up much space.

Super helpful lamp

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Tru Red Brighwell Light has so many finctions definitely the most complete light of its kind. It comes with 5 modes The Focus Mode this mode is very helpful at avoiding distractions and helps boost productivity I like the fact that the rythmic light patterns are adjustable. The Meeting Mode is a necessity it helps reduce shadows when you're in poor iluminated areas great for zoom meetings. The Busy Mode is ideal to prevent interruptions while coworking. The busy sign is located on both sides of the lamp it can be easily placed on top of the laptop screen I also had a great experience with the Happy Mode since it helps me keep dark areas of my office lit creating a more balanced environment. In the evening the Breathing Light comes very handy following the light exercise patterns can be a very calming experience I even like to use it during the day when I need a break from a hectic day. All in all this one of a kind lamp seems to be of a great quality I am so pleased to have this many useful functions in one single unit definitely a game changer!

Potential to be useful if I could power the thing

I ordered the bundle that came with the 6’ USB-C cable and power block as I needed a longer cable for the device to sit on the desk with the rest of my peripherals. I opened the packaging and set everything up only to find it wasn’t drawing power from the Staples-branded cable and block. I tried a shorter cable I had laying around which worked but that means I can’t put it facing my office door where it’s needed to communicate to my colleagues when I’m on the phone. I purchased another brand’s USB-C cable and still nothing. I don’t think I’ll be able to use the device at all honestly. I’m out almost $50 because of the purchase of the extra cable.

Nice Light

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently tried the Brightwell Light at my work. I love the sleek look and the ease with which it opens and closes with the stand. The modes are cool and I really like the blue light mode. I got a little confused on how to really adjust things. I for sure had some issues understanding all the settings. So this was one product that I really had to read the instructions first to understand how all the features work. I can't say that it made me more productive...But it was for sure soothing. And the light during my zoom meeting made me look well lit. Which I found very nice. I work in a very dark space for my job so this light is going to be great for using in an everyday capacity. I love how many adjustments I can make to it. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this office light.
