[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love trying out any new gadget to help with productivity so I appreciate the Stellar Product Testing Panel for sending this my way. In the end though office aesthetics kept me from fully utilizing it. It feels bulky on my computer and the power cord visually cluttered the desk I’m trying to keep streamlined. That said if you’re looking for a “ring light” effect while on camera this is a great substitute.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I share an office with several colleagues and the Brightwell 5-in-1 Productivity Light has been a great addition to my workspace. It’s primarily a video light with five modes—four on the front and one on the back. The front features a large diffuse LED panel with a “meeting” mode for flattering light during calls a cooler “happy” mode a calming blue “breathing” mode and a fun purple-toned “focus” light show. While the first two are genuinely useful for video calls the latter two are more of a novelty. The standout feature though is the back-facing “Busy” mode which lights up a red LED “Busy” sign—like a real-life “Do Not Disturb” setting. It’s super helpful for avoiding interruptions. The capacitive touch mode buttons are very responsive and the brightness and color temperature controls are easy to use. My only gripe is the built-in stand. While it works both horizontally (on a monitor) and vertically (on a desk) with a grippy base the monitor lip is too shallow. Any slight adjustment tends to knock the light off which is frustrating. Overall it’s a great portable light especially for video calls and shared office spaces. Just know that if you’re looking for a more permanent desk setup you might want one with a sturdier mounting system. Thank you to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for sending me this light for my honest review.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Brightwell Light’s design is clean and minimal but what really surprised me was how good the lighting is for product photos; sharp even no weird color casts. I use the focus mode most of the time and it gives everything this crisp clarity that makes editing way easier. The touch controls are smooth and the adjustable arm makes it easy to get the angle right. It’s one of those tools that just quietly does its job really well and actually makes a difference in how I work. There are different settings for the light’s warmth intensity and color which makes it the perfect multi-use light. I received the product as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given this office light to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. The Brightwell light is a cool product that my son and I enjoyed trying out. It was easy to use and my 8 year old could operate it just fine. The color changing temperate is a neat feature. We wish that it had a battery option so it didn’t always need to be plugged in that is why we gave it 4/5 stars.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using the Brightwell Productivity Light for a few weeks now and I’m genuinely impressed. The size is absolutely perfect—not so big that it gets in the way of my work setup. What really sets this light apart is the five different modes: Meeting Light Happy Light Breathing Light Focus Light and Busy Light. My favorite by far is the Meeting Light. My husband and I are on Zoom calls several times a week and this mode provides excellent lighting that makes a big difference in how we show up on camera. The Busy Light setting has also been a game changer. It’s such a simple but effective way to signal that we’re unavailable. It even helped our kids understand when it wasn’t a good time to interrupt which made our workdays much more productive. Overall my favorite thing about this light is the variety of modes and how easy and effective it is to use. It’s a small addition that’s had a big impact on our productivity and home office setup. Highly recommend! Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this office light.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given this office light to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I am a teacher so I took the light to use in my classroom. I did not take the box or instructions which I should have done. My junior high students saw me trying to use the light while they were working. I was struggling and decided to see if I could find instructions online. Meanwhile my students proceeded to push buttons and determine what all of the buttons did. By the time I found instructions online they were ready to show me how to work the light. I “clamped” the light on my MacBook to test it. If I don’t roll my desk around the room it stays in place. However as soon as I bump the table or proceed to move around the room the light falls off. This is really frustrating. I think the “clamping” mechanism needs to be improved so it will stay in place as I move around the room. I did like all of the lights and they are very bright. My favorite feature was the busy light that is on the back side. It can be used to tell others you are in a Zoom meeting on a call or not available at the moment. If my light stayed in place I would have been able to light it up if I was busy with another student so I would not be interrupted until I was available again. It would stop the “Ms. …” from across the room. I also had a student break their glasses and ask me to glue them back together while the light was in use. I put the light on the brightest setting to get plenty of light while I was gluing the frames back together. The happy lighting would be great task lighting or even light to read a book in bed. The breathing light is similar to any of the calming breathing apps. The focus light was fun and nice to look at but I don’t feel that it changed my focus either way. The zoom light would have been great for teaching via zoom. I am not on zoom much anymore so I didn’t have a chance to test this function. I do think it would be great for those who work from home. Lastly is the cord. The cord has an adapter to allow it to be either usb-c or usb-a. The light must be plugged in using the cord for it to work. I have used other items with adapters and struggled to get them to work well on my MacBook. This adapter worked without issue. Overall I am happy with the light and would recommend. The product would be even better with slight modifications.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a really effective simple office light that can serve multiple purposes. It is super easy to set up out of the box and takes no time at all to figure out how to use it. I liked the opportunity for more bright light or a softer light - I found that the softer light in particular has been great for zoom calls in my fairly poorly lit shadow-filled office. The ambient "light show" light function is great for when I'm not on a call. And while we didn't use the "Busy" function my husband has already threatened to steal it for his actual office as it would make it clear when he's on the phone to people popping their heads in or passing by. The only slight drawback is that it would be nice if it could operate without being plugged into a usb port but a bluetooth element or the like would also detract from the "plug and play" usability but as long as you have enough ports to plug it in this is a very very minor complaint. Overall I highly recommend this for our video-call-centric world! Thank you to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this product in exchange for an honest review
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this office light. This light has an easy setup and I like that I can switch it between sitting on the desk or on my computer monitor so easily. I like the different modes and I tend to keep the focus mode on for the majority of the time. I also use the camera light for meetings. I like that you can adjust the brightness of the light and that it has an easy on off switch. I worry a little at the balancing act it does on my monitor but I'm still playing around with positions that are secure. My favorite part of this light is the focus mode because it draws my attention to the computer screen and helps me work with fewer distractions. The busy light is cool and I like that it's on both sides. But I wish that it had it's own mode and that it was a little more prominent so that when people approach you from behind they notice it faster.
