Bring old scent and quality back

I never search out ways to write reviews but had to in this case. Have tried tons of dish detergents over many many years and always went back to Palmolive original. Simple pleasant fragrance, suds up well and cleaned excellent. Bought a giant refill last week that said original essential clean and hate it. Suds disappear in no time and smell is awful. Lost a loyal customer. Please return to your truly "original" fragrance and formula. Packaging is very misleading.
Cons: Does not suds up and clean like original formula
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

should say 'New Max Stench'

When I saw the 'New MAX Strength' label, I didn't realize they were referring to the smell. Bad, bad, burns my sinuses. I'm going to have to try something else next time I need dish liquid.
Cons: Poor Dispenser, Strong Odor

Can't stand sickly sweet smell

I too have been using this happily for many, many years. I too was "trapped" into buying a big jug when I saw the word "original". The new smell isn't just bad, it nauseates me. Sickly sweet. I travelled to all the local stores and cannot find the old Palmolive. Also the fold over cap is not as neat as the pull up cap. Sadly you lost a loyal customer until I see the old bottle without the Ultra designation. I wish you had marketed both for at least a while so we could "vote" with out purchases on this. Very, very disappointed.

I agree with the other reviews here, the new scent is awful. I had to discard 2 bottles and get another brand. I have been using Palmolive my entire life (60) because i liked the scent of it.

LOVE the new scent!

I LOVE the new scent!! I was surprised when I opened my new bottle a few weeks ago. It smells like Downey Fabric Softener to me and every time I use it I say how much I love this new scent. Thank you for the wonderful change in smell yet leaving the fabulous grease cutting properties and the ability to keep our hands soft.
Pros: Easy On Skin, Pleasant Smell

I have always used the original green Palmolive. Never again. I immediately switched to Dawn after the first use of this terribly smelly concoction you came up with. What were you thinking? Let's get rid of our loyal customers with a stinky change?

Horrible smell!

I have used Palmolive Original for many years (decades!) and always liked its sweet, unobtrusive scent and gentle yet strong cleaning power. To my surprise, recent purchases of what I thought was the same product have a horrible, chemical smell, which I cannot tolerate and I may have to discard these bottles. I have been looking to purchase a few bottles with the original scent from leftover inventories, but will need to switch to a different brand in the future unless you can bring back the original scent. Thank you. Note: Contrarily to the check below, I did NOT receive this product as a sample, I bought it in a store. Your web form did not leave the choice to enter NO, below, but forced a YES, despite being titled 'Select One'.

Why did you change the scent??

I have been using Palmolive forever! Not Dawn,not Joy, not Ajax, PALMOLIVE. Not a special Palmolive, just regular "You're soaking in it " Palmolive green. What is up with the smell?? I was away for the weekend and my husband opened a new bottle, I noticed the smell immediately. Not a good smell, not the Palmolive smell. I'm going to have o change my dish liquid. Too bad.
