Stinks!

It is ironic that the very day I mentioned to my Significant Other how much I love the smell of Palmolive that it reminds me of being a kid and getting a perfume kit for Christmas, was the same day I bought the Ultra thinking it would be the same except stronger cleaning. I have tried and tried to get used to the horrible perfume you put in it. I've probably used one ounce of it so far but it makes me feel nauseated. Although I'd pay a little more to get a better product I am on a very tight budget and all I want to do with this is get rid of it. Maybe I can find someone with no nose that would like it. I hate to waste anything but this Ultra is HORRIBLE smelling. What in the world were you thinking? I hate it so much I just took a picture of me holding it and I look so disgusted (funnily so) I am thinking about sharing this on fb. Let's see what others think of it... my expression of course.

Bring back the "original" ORIGINAL!

I had a feeling I was not alone, and I was right. Looks like there are many of us who have been loyal Palmolive Original users for many years. This new scent STINKS! And it concerns me that you've responded to the comments by helping us to find another product that suits us. The product that suits us is the ORIGINAL. Please bring it back!

Stench is incredible

I loved the old smell, the dishes got clean, and it was gentle on my hands. The new scent is horrible. I mean really horrible. Why on earth did you change it? I tried several stores hoping there would be an old bottle somewhere, neglected, on the back of the shelves but no. This junk is all that's out there. Please bring back the old scent. I'm now on a expensive mission to find a new soap that doesn't butcher my hands. Can you please fix this?

Awful, Awful Odor

Did anyone at Palmolive actually smell this after it was added to hot water to wash dishes before it was marketed? I've been using Palmolive for about 35 years. The original scent never left a taste or smell on the dishes and the smell was mild. I can't use the new one at all. I'm going to have to throw away the very large container and start a search for a new product. How sad! The odor (and I do mean odor) physically makes me sick.

very disappointing new smell!!

I loved the Original Green Palmolive! The best, clean smell! My family used it for years! for some reason they changed the smell and it is now akin to a porta potty urinal puck and they still call it "original" So disappointing. PLEASE CHANGE BACK TO THE ORIGINAL SCENT! I'll be a customer forever!!!

This is really unlike me, I don't have the time or desire to go hunting down ways to leave reviews for products that suck. I'm the type that takes the loss and moves on. However, like most of the people here complaining, I was raised smelling the real Original scent and have been raising my kids with it. I'm sure to Corporate America that seems silly, I mean it's dish soap, right? But there is great deal of science backing how smell triggers memories and it's pretty clear long term customers enjoyed those memories. Wouldn't a company cherish that kind of relationship with their customers? There was no need to change the scent to begin with but to change it to this fruity overwhelming grandma's powder stench is seriously a real shame. I can't stand it, my kids can't stand it and it's so strong you can't rinse it off dishes or your hands completely. Someone compared it to the deodorizer cake stink in the porta potty. Dead on. In fact, I've designated my two bottles (yep, two. I'm dumb and bought a second thinking there was just something wrong with the first) to the toilet in my RV. I hope the fact that the 5 star reviews are coming from the people who received free product isn't escaping anyone. Get it together guys, you're losing a bunch of people over this.

I have been loyal to this brand for decades and am now thinking of changing because of the new scent of this Ultra, Max Strength.

offensive new scent

Why did you change the scent? I have used it forever. Now I'll have to find something else. Who wants their dish soap to demand attention every time they use it? This is ridiculous.
