I love this product, it last very long in my household for one and I like the smell. I had only brought this item in the 9oz size. At first I felt it was to high for the product but after trying out other competition and their prices its worth paying the higher price. My oldest daughter purchases the product as well. I only buy Palmolive.
Pros: Attractive, Easy On Skin, Good Dispenser, Pleasant Smell

This is great stuff

I have some old acrylic glasses that were getting worse and worse and worse. I couldn't get them clean. I tried everything--even sprays for polishing headlights and so forth. Then out of the blue I tried this Palmolive Ultra Strength with a scouring pad and with a little effort it makes my ten year old acylic glasses like new again. There is no question that it has a funny smell, but I love this stuff. Coupling this with Lemi shine booster and my glasses are coming out clean. Wow.
Pros: Really cleans old acrylic glasses.
Cons: Strong Odor

Terrible New Smell! Drys out skin too!

Just opened a new bottle tonight and was startled by the smell! It is awful! I cannot continue to use this product. One of the reasons I used the original was because of the smell. I remember my grandmother using it, always associated the smell with her, and I have used it for my own household for the past 25 years. The new smell is way to strong - actually made me nauseous. Plus - the new formal really dried out my hands. So disappointed with this change!

This is a letter I wrote to Palmolive. I urge everyone with similar comments to write a letter, too. It is the only way they will hear us! Dear Palmolive, I have been loyally using Palmolive dish soap my entire adult life. I chose your product for several reasons. It was long-lasting, it cleaned dishes superbly, it dealt with greased effectively and most of all, it had a wonderful, mild scent. Recently, I bought a new bottle and I was completely disappointed to find out that the formula had changed and the scent was one I could absolutely not tolerate. The new smell literally makes me feel sick and I had to give the brand new bottle away to a friend, who was just happy to have a free bottle of dish soap. I looked online to see if I was alone in thinking the new formula had a chemical, industrial cleaning fluid smell. Alas, I am not alone. Many reviews I have read agree that the new scent is intolerable. Are you still making the original formula? If not, I strongly urge you to return to the original scent and formula. I truly believe that you will lose many customers who previously would not consider using any other product. Thank you for your consideration.

Will likely switch brands. Didn't realized the formula has changed, and it's inferior in many ways.
Cons: The new fragrance is terrible., Viscosity has changed - too runny.

Palmolive Ultra Strength = Ultra disaster

The odor of the product is a clear mistake. My asthma suffering spouse can't hardly be in the same room with this detergent. To add insult to injury this detergent is dissolving my hands. They are just raw and hand lotion can't repair them. We had neither of these problems with the old version. Goodbye. By the way, did you have anybody on your test team that is sensitive to strong odors? Anybody with breathing challenges? Anybody that has to wash dishes with bare hands (because there are no gloves out there that fit their hands or have any durability; your hands just get soap on them.)? What kind of hole must their be in your testing to have this product get through?

intensely dislike new smell

I have been loyal to this brand for decades and am now thinking of changing because of the new scent of this Ultra, Max Strength.

We've been using the original Palmolive as long as it has been around and - early 70's maybe?? !The Ultra Strength is HORRIBLE!! It has a strong chemical smell - actually more like fumes!! Bring back the original or you've lost this customer for good.!! (-and it sounds like many others, as well!!) DID YOU DO ANY CONSUMER TESTING ON THIS VERSION????
