New Scent = New Coke; I want Palmolive Classic!!!!

What happened to my memories of childhood? The new scent is disgustingly sweet and makes my kitchen smell like a candy factory - and not in a good way. The cleansing part still seems to be there, but the new odor is very unappealing. Grandma always said, If it aint broke, don't fix it! I'm seeing a "New" Coke scenario here. I'm OK with Palmolive Classic, just sell it!
Pros: Easy On Skin
Cons: Strong Odor
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Terrible New Smell

Have been using Palmolive green for 25+ years and loved its light fragrance. I wash all dishes/pots/pans/utensils by hand and the new odor is intolerable. Initially it reminded me of Dawn, which is a grease-cutter. It also smells yuk but I only keep a small bottle around to treat the occasional greasy laundry stain. Sometimes the new Palmolive smell reminds me of a colonoscopy prep (thanks so much), other times when I use it to soak pots or utensils it smells like sewage (really). It is so offensive that I need to look around for a new dish liquid. I haven't changed yet because other products seem to have strong smells too, or smell like fruit, etc, and I prefer a light floral fragrance. I will stay loyal if the original fragrance returns, but that needs to happen before I find a replacement.
Pros: Attractive, Bottle fine but saved old, better cap to reuse., Easy On Skin
Cons: Strong Odor

New Palmolive scent

I recently bought my Palmolive from the store when my Gallon refill ran out. I am so disappointing with the new smell. Went to the store to replace my 2 bottles that I bought and I cannot find the ORIGINAL scent. What happened to it? Will it come back? I have used Palmolive all my like and my mother still uses it. So 5 decades. Since its creation. Please let me know where I can find the original scent and formula. I am about to throw out 2 full bottles. That is how much I dislike its cleaning power and smell.
Cons: Not as effective on grease, Strong Odor

What a shame the good Palmolive smell is gone!!

Madge would be sad, too, that the Palmolive smell is gone with this new instance of Palmolive green. Wish the new Max Strength had the same original smell and cannot get past the smell to use on my dishes. Maybe make MEW products a different color to indicate it is not like the original, kind of feel duped.

Headaching new scent

Our family used the original product from when it was new. It now has a very strong, headache inducing smell that makes me feel unwell and dizzy. Unfortunately I bought the huge bulk container. I cannot even give it away with such an unhealthy odor.

Won't buy this again until the original scent returns

I've used Palmolive for 50 years but will no longer buy it unless the scent is improved. I agree with the other reviewers - this new scent is sickening.

I have used Palmolive Green dishwashing liquid for years. The scent was amazing and wonderful. This new scent smells cheap and harsh. I will no longer buy Palmolive DW liquid until the original scent returns. There are many many loyal customers feeling the same. Why was the scent changed?????
