Give us back the ORIGINAL Palmolive dish soap

I agree with the previous reviews. I was shocked when I opened my last purchase of what was labelled "ORIGINAL" Palmolive dish soap. I found a strong, sickening perfume smell. I had to throw the dish soap in the trash! I have since been required to change brands. The problem with having to change brands is that the "ORIGINAL" scent Palmolive dish soap has been working at my sink since the 70's. Please bring back the "ORIGINAL" scent Palmolive dish soap.

Bring back the "original" scent!!!

The new scent is AWFUL!!! It makes my dishes smell like shampoo! The reason I have used Palmolive for 40 years is because of the original scent! I will now be switching to Dawn. Sadly the new scent is NOT good at all but it is sad that the original smell that takes me back is gone. Why did they have to change it?

I've been using Palmolive for years but my recent purchase of same with label "NEW" is horrible - the scent is 99% chemicals & 1% fragrance. I tossed the new full bottle out! For those like me with a sensitivity to chemical odors: this will give you an instant headache!

awful new smell !!

i loved the old original smell, this new fragrance is shockingly unpleasant. I want my money back! or better yet the old smell back!!

Awful scent!!!

Please change the scent. It's really offensive. I agree with another reviewer who said it smells like deodorant in a men's urinal. Disappointed since we've used this product for years. Won't buy it again unless the scent is changed.

Terrible New Smell! Drys out skin too!

Just opened a new bottle tonight and was startled by the smell! It is awful! I cannot continue to use this product. One of the reasons I used the original was because of the smell. I remember my grandmother using it, always associated the smell with her, and I have used it for my own household for the past 25 years. The new smell is way to strong - actually made me nauseous. Plus - the new formal really dried out my hands. So disappointed with this change!

New scent is chemically scary

I am sensitive to scents and smells and this new bottle has got me looking for the old one. I cannot have this in my kitchen three times a day for the rest of my life. There was absolutely no need to fiddle with a perfectly functional product, and then pretend like it's the same old thing only better. Get rid of the new scent, or lose me as a long-time customer.

This is a letter I wrote to Palmolive. I urge everyone with similar comments to write a letter, too. It is the only way they will hear us! Dear Palmolive, I have been loyally using Palmolive dish soap my entire adult life. I chose your product for several reasons. It was long-lasting, it cleaned dishes superbly, it dealt with greased effectively and most of all, it had a wonderful, mild scent. Recently, I bought a new bottle and I was completely disappointed to find out that the formula had changed and the scent was one I could absolutely not tolerate. The new smell literally makes me feel sick and I had to give the brand new bottle away to a friend, who was just happy to have a free bottle of dish soap. I looked online to see if I was alone in thinking the new formula had a chemical, industrial cleaning fluid smell. Alas, I am not alone. Many reviews I have read agree that the new scent is intolerable. Are you still making the original formula? If not, I strongly urge you to return to the original scent and formula. I truly believe that you will lose many customers who previously would not consider using any other product. Thank you for your consideration.
