BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After using BIC Velocity mechanical pencils for a month, I feel I've gotten a very good idea of their quality and worth. I have used them myself, my children have used them to complete their homeschool assignments, and my students have used them during tutoring. They're very sturdy, with excellent quality lead and fantastic little erasers that erase cleanly. My children and students love picking out which color they want to use. They sell for a reasonable price, so I'm not worried when one goes missing. I've only found one problem with the pencils that has appeared in every single one we've used. The metal base where the lead comes out doesn't stay put. It pushes back up inside the shaft of the pencil when pressure is applied. It appears to be a technical design flaw, but it makes those pencils unusable. I'd love to continue using these pencils when they correct this flaw.

The Best Pencil Out There!

They have changed the grip on the pencils, the grips used to be rounder, more easily gripped and the grips now seem to be more curvy.... Regardless, I love the .09 lead, and the covered eraser. The package came with refill lead and erasers.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I never used mechanical pencils before this bzz campaign. I was old fashioned and always used wood pencils. But my kids always want mechanical pencils. So every year I buy them the cheapest mechanical pencils I can find thinking they are a waste of money anyway. Well, I have been proven wrong. These Bic Velocity Mechanical Pencils are so much better than the cheap generic pencils! They write so nice! They have a nice soft squishy grip, generics do not have this, nor do wood pencils. The lead doesn't snap off if you press hard, sure it will break, maybe, but not like regular pencils or generic mechanical pencils. They write smoothly and darker without too much effort. The eraser works well too. I like that these have led and eraser refills too. That way they aren't a waste of money or too bad for the environment. I have nothing bad to say about these. My daughter in 8th grade loves them too. She was happy when I gave her some for the new school year. She uses them daily at school.

Great Pencil for the Price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I thought that the BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils were going to be just like any other mechanical pencil, but they are far from it. The grip is so soft, yet very supportive, they feel great in your hand. The erasers are smooth and do their job very well, it erases everything. The lead is smooth, so much more than I've ever used before. The fact that it comes with extra lead and erasers in the package, which is a plus since most mechanical pencils only come with extra lead. I also love the colors, I am a colorful person and love that they have my favorite color pencil. I let my son use them as well, he likes them so much that he has taken all but one. He uses them at school everyday and likes the way they write. I would use these for all my writing if I could. Definitely glad that I got to try these pencils out and will definitely recommend. #BICVelocity #GotItFree
