Perfect for Children

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I received these in my bzz campaign I figured they would be just another mechanical pencil. I was quickly proven wrong. The lead is much stronger than any other mechanical pencil we have tried in the past. The eraser actually erases and doesn't just smear the lead around and leave those ugly gray smear lines. They're comfortable to grip and the different colors are so much fun!
My son is homeschooled and it's absolutely obsessed with drawing, he's not a big fan of mechanical pencils because the lead would break fairly quickly. I had him try BIC Velocity and he actually liked it. He didn't have nearly as much trouble with breakage as he would with other mechanical pencils and he loved that it would completely erase his mistakes.

Cute and colorful!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I cracked these babies open today and just fell in love with how bright they were, and the grips on them reminded me of the ones I used to buy all the time in elementary school. I loved these pencils all around. :)They write smoothly, and they erase really clean, too. Five stars, for sure!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think the thing I like most about these pencils is the fact that they manage to be sturdy while also fitting well in any hand (whether it's a little one or an adult!). I've had way too many flimsy barreled mechanical pencils - these definitely have a clean, solid-lasting sort of feel. The "clean" is all the way around, too - the barrels are smooth (great colors!) with no jagged plastic edges at the seams to poke you, and extending the lead is smooth, too - just the right amount! You don't constantly have to fidget with it, which is a bonus when you are on a writing jag and don't want to lose your idea. Also, another bonus, the erasers are good quality - they don't smear and smudge on the paper - they erase the lead smoothly and well, without a lot of work or mess (always a bonus for someone like me). In almost 45 minutes of solid writing, I didn't have the lead break once - which is absolutely a winner in my book. All the way around, I am really, really pleased with these pencils, and could not be more pleased to get to try them out!

Bic Got It Write!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bic sent me a pack of their new Velocity Mechanical Pencils to try out and give an unbiased review of their new product. Now we all know that Bic has always made high quality products, so I was not surprised to try these pencils out and instantly fall in love with them. Most mechanical pencils look alike and boring. The package of Bic Velocity pencils come with 5 different colors and they immediately stand out! It's great if you have a boy and girl and can split the package up with their favorite colors. Personally, I love the pink one and it's my favorite! Another great point is since these pencils stand out, you are less likely to lose them or have someone else pick it up by mistake. It can be very frustrating to parents when they buy new school supplies and shortly after they go missing. This product is great to stay on budget. As for the design, the size is larger than many other mechanical pencils on the market so they fit better in my hand and are the size of most pens. The grip is soft and smooth and rests perfectly in my hand. The clip is also a little bigger so it's definitely more sturdy! I always tend to break the clip on other pencils which leaves a sharp edge and just looks old and broken, so those ones always end up in the trash, even if they are brand new. Since the Velocity pencils won't break,they will outlast every other pencil I own. The package of 5 also comes with lead and eraser refills. This is definitely a bonus, especially for parents with younger kids that tend to do a lot of erasing or those of us adults that like to erase to make things perfect! The pencils come with a clear cap on the eraser which prevents the eraser from falling out and keeps it intact. Now down to the the most important part of this review, which is how it writes. My writing is extremely smooth and just the right size. The lead is not too thick and not too thin. It really is very nice to write with and doesn't smudge. It also erases beautifully! I can't stand eraser makes on paper and this mechanical pencil has the best eraser I have used. Overall, I was really impressed with these pencils. As a parent, I know these pencils will last much longer with my youngest kids. The lead is thick enough not to break and the eraser works well. Plus they won't have other kids borrow it and forget to get it back. I know I will be using a pencil more frequently after trying them out. This is the perfect time of year to pick up a package. You will not be disappointed! This is really a high quality product at an affordable cost. You can't go wrong!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love these mechanical pencils. The lead is 0.7 mm, so it doesn't break constantly like thinner lead. The colors are bright and pretty! The eraser has a cap so it won't accidentally fall off in a backpack or purse. Perfect for everyday use. My oldest son draws with his a lot and can use them just like a regular pencil. Another outstanding product from Bic!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think the BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils are a great buy, they have a comfy grip at the top and it comes with extra lead and erasers. The lid on the erasers and lead is a little tough to get off for little hands. My son is 7 and he had some trouble with the lid , however, the pencil writes nicely.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was super excited to receive this kit as I love mechanical pencils. It was also perfect timing as we are getting school supplies together for the upcoming school year. My daughter who will be going to 7th grade, snatched up a pack of these and is really excited to use these at school. She prefers mechanical pencils, so that she doesn't have to continuously sharpen her pencil. I keep one in my purse and have used it for several things and even took a couple to work. There are times at work when I need to mark papers with pencil instead of pen and these are perfect. I love their bright colors and the lead creates a super smooth line that just seems to make my handwriting incredibly neat!
