We love Bic Velocity Mechanical Pencils!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have to say I am thrilled with these pencils! My kids love them. My daughter keeps hers locked up safe in her mini locker as one of her prized treasures. My son now loves to do his homework with his Bic Velocity pencil! Imagine that, a child thrilled to be doing their homework just because of a mechanical pencil. That has to be one special pencil and let me tell you, It Is! The lead does not break like other mechanical pencils! It erases mistakes easily! I love writing with these pencils and my daughter enjoys drawing with hers. They come in beautiful colors and they are comfortable to use. I will be buying Bic Velocity Mechanical pencils from now on because others will just not do the job.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love mechanical pencils because who wants to stop writing just to get up and sharpen your pencil!? It's super easy to just click the top and keep writing and these Bic Velocity pencils take mechanical pencils to a whole new level. They come in 5 different colors that are bright and pretty so you can have a new pencil every day of the week. The top has a cap that keeps your eraser covered and safe from falling out. I love how comfortable the grips on these are because after writing for a while I usually get a cramped up hand, but these are soft and easy to hold even after a long writing period. The lead is really strong and doesn't break as easily as other mechanical pencils I've used so I don't feel like I'm wasting money by having it constantly break. I really like that these come with a little extra pack of lead and erasers. It's so rare to see pencils come with extra erasers and usually after you wear one out you're just out of luck but with these you can just toss out the worn down one and replace it with a fresh one! I love these pencils and I will definitely be buying more in the future!

Smooth Writing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received #BICVelocity to sample and review. I let my students use these pencils while they wok in my classroom. They love the different colors that are available. I appreciate the fact that time isn't wasted when someone's pencil tip breaks. They just have to click the eraser to receive more lead. I personally like how smooth the eraser is. The pack also came with extra lead AND extra erasers, that's was a huge bonus. Erasers are usually the first thing to go, and I've had students throw out their pencils before just because their eraser is gone. I am glad my students were able to try these out. These pencils would make great school supplies because I know most kids would rather use mechanical pencils anyway.

Not just for kids

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Colorful mechanical pencils that are easy to use. Their lightweight design ensured my hand never got tired. I gave two pencils to my daughter to use for school and kept the rest for me. These are a game changer. I am a Project Manager so I take tons of notes. These pencils write clean and erase effortlessly.

My new favorite pencils!

I tend to push really hard when I write and I despise constantly having to click new lead out. Well these Velocity pencils have some super strong lead that rarely breaks on me. On top of that, they are very comfortable to write with and have a grip that keeps the pencil from slipping. Highly recommend!

A nearly perfect pencil

They are very bright so I can find them in my junk drawer, though I would love to see a bright green one since I am not a pink fan. I love, love LOVE that the metal portion of the tip retracts completely into the unit so I don't stab myself when searching my purse for a writing implement. I love the chunkiness of the grip and how dark and smooth it writes. I also really love that it comes with not only extra leads but extra erasers. I have thrown out numerous other brands of mechanical pencils because they had refillable leads but a fixed eraser and once that was worn down you either couldn't erase or had to carry around a separate eraser. The only think that could possible make these better is that I found the little indentation for your grip to be slightly too far up the pencil for my preference. I found my fingers settling a bit below this in the hollow at the far end by the tip which was still comfortable but didn't give quite as much control in my writing. This is a minor issue however and I would not give these up because of it.

Beyond mechanical

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My tween/teen kids love the BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils. I barely had them out of the BzzAgent box and they both absconded with them. Traditional pencils aren't as cool with big kids. The mechanical BIC pencils are especially great for my high school kid in his architectural drawing class. He is impressed with the ease of use and sharp lines.
