Bic Velocity Mechanical Pencils

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried the Bic Velocity Mechanical Pencils. They have the strongest lead I have ever seen in a mechanical pencil. They last a very long time because the lead isn't constantly breaking. The erasers erase as if you never wrote there. I would highly recommend these mechanical pencils!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I liked the colors, the eraser cap and the comfort in my hand. However, I did not like the pencils themselves. I could not get the lead to not break no matter how soft I wrote or how hard I pressed. Also the eraser did not erase completely. Sorry to be brutal.

A Mechanical Pencil Convert

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a classroom teacher, I use pencils constantly. I use them to jot down notes, take attendance, make plans and reflect, and even work next to students. Traditionally I have opted for regular (nonmechanical) pencils because I found regular mechanical pencils flimsy and felt like I had to write more softly, both slowing my handwriting and making it less clear. When the BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils arrived, I was super excited to see that they had grips built in, helping to add a little heft to the pencil and making it feel more comfortable and sturdy in my hand. My writing with the pencils was lovely, smooth and even, as a result of the grip and the super smooth lead. I love that the lead doesn't break as easily as other mechanical pencils. I am not constantly breaking lead and wasting money, which is awesome. The extra erasers and extra lead was a huge bonus, too. Now instead of tossing pencils as I run out of lead or finish another eraser, I can keep using the same one!
I, reluctantly, parted with some of the BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils, adding them to my class shared basket, and my students love them as much as I do. They dig through the basket to find them! I knew they were a win when I overheard the kids, completely unprompted, talking about how nicely the pencils wrote.
This teacher is sold. I will be buying BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils for my classroom!

Smooth Writing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter has now started her Junior year in High School and the 1st & most important item she packed for school was her Bic Velocity Mechanical Pencils. She has told me they write great when she's taking notes and doing classwork. The thing we both like the most is unlike other mechanical pencils we have used the lead doesn't break easily. The lead is stronger which makes mom happy because I don't have to buy a new package every other week!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The pencil wrote very smooth and the eraser didn't leave any smudges. Both of my kids used this pencil in a test and it was teacher approved with how dark the led wrote.

First the barrels are very easy to write with & the colors are awesome. They are very easy to write with & feel great when you are writing with them. My son loves these because they are easy to write & comfortable. The lead writes smooth on paper & erases with no issues. They are much better than other brands we tried. My son loves these & they are the only ones he will use from now on. #BICVelocity #GotItFree

Great Pencils

Giving them away

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I gave my 14 year old son 3 of the Bic I gave my 14 year old son 3 of the Bic Velocity mechanical pencils on his first day of school. When he came home that evening, the first thing he said to me was, "Ma I need more pencils." Seriously? "Everyone wanted to try them." Needless to say, we had to go buy more of these pencils. We bought several packages of them so that he could share them with his classmates. And because my son can never seem to find his pencils when he needs them. He and his friends really love these pencils because of the bright colors, the thick lead that doesn't break while they are writing and is dark enough that they don't have to trace back over. The fact that the eraser actually erases and doesn't leave a bunch of smudges all over their papers seems to be what they like best about them. These mechanical pencils may seem a bit pricier than many of the others out there, however, they come with a lot of extra lead and erasers so that you don't have to keep replacing them. Very much worth the price. I don't know if the kids noticed, but I liked the soft comfort grip and that the led is #2 which is what is required for high school students. #BICVelocity #GotItFree
