Best Mechanical Pencil

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think the BIC Velocity is the best mechanical pencil I have ever used. The grip is comfortable and they write very smooth. I will not be using any other pencil again. My daughter loves them as well.

Cool colors on great pencils

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 10-year-old fifth-grade daughter loves these BIC Velocity mechanical pencils. She hoards them in her pencil bag so her brother can't find them! She likes the bright, vibrant colors like hot pink, yellow, purple, orange and blue. But, no matter the color of the pencil barrel the lead is regular #2 pencil lead so she can use these pencils for all her homework. I got two packs for free and I have to admit that I kept a pack for myself too! I prefer mechanical pencils to regular pencils because I like the finer point on the lead instead of the wide, dull point on a regular pencil after you use it for a while (plus, no need to have a sharpener). My first-grade son still needs a regular pencil, though, because he pushes too hard on the lead and breaks it. But the Velocity pencils have been great for my daughter and me. The lead writes smoothly and erases well, which is important for her homework. I love, love, love that an extra package of lead and erasers was included in the package. Thank you BIC! I hate buying her pencils and then having to go back to buy more lead or erasers and not remembering what kind of lead to buy (.5 mm? .7 mm?). It's so easy that BIC included these extras in the package from the beginning. Younger kids definitely need the extra lead and erasers, so this helps.

Smooth Writing

We are a family who does not use wooden pencils for anything, so we go through a lot of mechanical pencils. The BIC Velocity pencils are some of our favorites. They have a .7 lead, so are less prone to breakage than other pencils we've used in the past. It's also great that they write very smoothly. The package comes with both replacement lead and replacement erasers. This makes it a great value as well. As a Mom who has purchased a lot of mechanical pencils, I would highly recommend the BIC Velocity.

Stylish, Functional and Fun

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The BIC Velocity Mechanical pencils stand up to the trusted brand's reputation for a quality product. The vibrant colors and strong darker lead in the Velocity make this pencil stand out in the school supplies. My 13 year old daughter loves the pencils and they are her go to mechanical pencils for school. She loves the different color options because let's face it, plain old black pencils are boring. She feels more stylish having multi-colored pencil options and the lead seems to hold stronger and not break as easily as other brands. As math homework becomes more difficult I notice more erasing on her papers and I'm quite pleased to see that the lead does erase cleanly and doesn't leave that trace of the previous writing behind. When school shopping, I did purchased Staples brand mechanical pencils in addition to the BzzKit supply of BIC Velocity pencils. The Staples brand has not held up as well and I notice my daughter prefers the BIC Velocity pencils over any other pencil she has in her backpack. She even said they are more comfortable to write with due to the rubber grip.

Smooth ride

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think my son loves the Bic Velocity mechanical pencils better than any other he has used. I've already purchased two more packs since school started so he can have a spare set at home. He writes rhymes in his spare time, and he loves how neatly these mechanical pencils write and erase compared to some other brands. He lives they come in cool colors (he believes blue is his lucky color) so, he can feel confident in the rhymes he writes with the blue pencils.

Great Pencils!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The BIC Velocity Pencils are fantastic! The write much darker than the Papermate ones we were using and they erase very nicely. The extra lead and erasers that come with it is very useful. The bright colors are fun too!
