BIC® Velocity® Mechanical Pencils

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've never been one to like or use mechanical pencils. My kids love them but get frustrated for the same reasons I do. I always feel like I have to press hard in order to read what I'm writing. And with mechanical pencils, when you press too hard you snap the lead and then have to stop and get more lead out, erase the mark that you just made when you snapped the lead and then finally start your writing again. It's a mess.
So when I was given the chance to try BIC® Velocity® Mechanical Pencils for free, I figured why not?! My kids were excited when the pencils arrived. We opened them immediately and the first thing we thought was that they were pens, not pencils. They seriously look like pens. It wasn't until we were able to press the lead out that we were convinced that these were in fact mechanical pencils and not pens. lol. My kids are 6, 8 and 13. All three of them each picked a pencil based on color and gave it a go. The first thing they agreed on was that how cool it was that these pencils look like pens. Their instant plan was to take them to school the next day and trick their teachers. (It's the little things lol). My 13 year old said he liked how comfortable the pencil was to hold and the other two agreed. They started out by writing their names on paper and as usual 2 of the 3 pressed super hard to the point that I thought the lead would break, but it didn't! I had a pencil as well and told them to write normally like they would if it were a normal #2 pencil. So they wrote again. And this time, without pressing hard, it was still dark just as if there were using a #2 pencil. Amazing! All three kids were impressed with these mechanical pencils and were writing with them on and off throughout the rest of the day.
I give this product a 5 out of 5 rating for durability, smoothness, ease of use, comfortable grip and style.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This pencil is great my son loves them. I would highly recommend them. They look and write like a pen. The lead is very fluid and doesn't crack. The eraser and lead refill pack are easy to store and very handy.

Loving the erasers

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It seems strange to compliment an eraser on this pencil since the pencil is so great but the erasers are really the stand out. My son often gets mechanical pencils because he loves them well I love the fact that these come with replacement erasers and that they actually work.

Write so smooth I think I am using a pen

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love to write in pencil but I find myself disliking it to because I have had those experiences with mechnical pencils where you write and then the lead breaks and then you write and the lead breaks and you get where I am going with this. Well the BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils are not that type of pencils. It almost feels like you are writing with a pen it feels so smooth. Sometimes you also have the issue with the lead where it gets bumpy but I also did not have that issue. I also like that these have very nice colors but they are not overly out there. I can have them at work and I can also have them in my bag for running around. They are very versatile. My children also used them for school and they commented and said they wanted me to buy more of those "good" pencils.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think that the bic velocity pencil are a fun and exciting. They are easy to use and most of all so colorful. Kids want to use them to do their homework, get it they are so fun that they actually want to do their hw on their own. The cap is great to keep the eraser from getting dirty. They have a number to lead which means that you can use them on test. They have a refillable lead and refillable eraser so they can last a very long time. The colors range so that both boys and girls can use them. The paper stays clean and doesn't smuge.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are great. The lead does not break as easily as other pencils and they write nice and fluid. They are well worth the price. I got these free in exchange for my honest review.
