They always prefer mechanical to traditional and have said these are much smoother than what they normally use. My daughter likes to sketch and the velocity pencils have been great for her. The pencils also erase well so she is pleased with that! I would definitely recommend the velocity pencils to students! They have been a hit in my house!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really enjoyed getting the chance to use the BIC Velocity Mechanical pencils and so did my kids. Love the fact that the eraser actually fully erases. Hard to find those. Lead is really strong. Plus comes with refills already which are really easy to refill even for kids. The bold bright colors are an added plus.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ever since my son discovered mechanical pencils I have been plagued with the task of finding ones that don't break their points easily, decent eraser, and easy to find refills. These BIC velocity pencils have all of that. He can use them in school for work and those tests that are scanned. He loves the grip and the variety of colors. These actually have lasted past the two weeks where other mechanical pencils usually start arriving back in pieces. Functional, durable and fun colors. I stole his purple ones!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils are a fan favorite in my household. My kids love the fact that it comes with eraser refills as well as lead refills. They also do not smudge on paper like most mechanical pencils do. The lead is of high quality. I would certainly purchase them again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Mechanical pencils are all the rave for kids these days. These new bic velocity pencils are awesome. The side clic makes use super easy and the smoothness of the writing is beyond compare. The only thing i would change would be to make the eraser a little better. Comes in cool colors too!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like these pencils, they write very smoothly! I tend to write with a heavy hand and lead strength is great. The only thing that keeps this from being 5 stars is the eraser. It doesn't completely erase away (see photo).

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son & I both love these pencils. We love the different colors they come in& the strong lead! I didn't like my son using mechanical pencils because he was breaking the lead every 2 min.! With the BIC Velocity pencils the lead isn't breaking all the time. :) I always tell my son it's okay to make mistakes that shows you're trying...but what a mess he makes when he erases things. With these pencils he can erase without it looking like a disaster.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are definitely the best mechanical pencils that my family has used. The kids really love them and the colors are awesome. They write very smooth and the lead doesn't break if you tend to write with a little more pressure. They erasers are nice and don't disintegrate when using them. They also don't smudge on the paper that you are erasing from. These are definitely a must buy for back to school shopping!
