Bic keeping pencils sharp!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids were excited to see that I had new mechanical pencils. They prefer mechanical these days as the wood pencils never seem to sharpen right. I gave each kid a pencil and told them to tell me how they liked them. After the first day of using them, they both told me that they wrote so good and that the lead did not seem to break as easy as other brands. Other brands lead seems to write a much lighter color. They especially like the way the pencil felt in their hand. They said when writing a lot they didn't get cramps in their hand as bad. They were thrilled that it came with replacement erasers. They give it two thumbs up"

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow! My high school son loves his mechanical pencils. For the first day of school I handed him a package of the BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils. He looked intrigued as he had never seen them before. Now that he has used them for a week of school he doesn't want to go back to the other ones he's been using in the past!

DISSAPPEARING PENCILS

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really think I would have enjoyed these pencils a little more, if my children would not have made them vanish. Yes I have two boys going to school. They saw my pencils and argued over the colors. Who likes mechanical pencils the best. Who's class don't have sharpeners. I heard it all. I liked the pencil I got to try. the lead could be a little stronger. I write fast and with heavy pressure. The lead broke easy. I could not get use to the little cap on the eraser. I kept forgetting to take it off. I really don't need that. my son says yes on the cap because he says he looses erasers.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] BIC® Velocity® Mechanical Pencils are great for homework and fun for kids. They are easy to refill when the lead runs out. The colors are fun for kids and they are easy to use. The lead is dark and smooth and easy to erase when you need too. My sons enjoy them and like to use them for homework.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I received the Bic Velocity Mechanical Pencils in the mail I knew right away who I was going to show them to - my daughter. She is the queen of mechanical pencils and she has her favorites. Although we received them before school started she wanted to wait and use them the first day of school. Her first reaction was not good, but it did get better. When she first picked up a pencil she didn't think she would ever like them because of the notches in the rubber grip where your fingers go. The notches lined up right where her fingers needed to go and that bothered her. If she turned the pencil to grip on the non-notched area, the clip at the top would annoy her hand. After looking at it that evening I discovered that you can actually rotate the rubber grip so that it is more comfortable. It's still irritating to her to have to do that though. But on a more positive note she really likes how dark it writes. That's always a big deal to her when she tries out pencils or gets lead refills. So, kudos to Bic Velocity for some nice dark lead! She also liked that the eraser is not too flimsy. On some other brands that she has tried, the erasers break right off the first time you try and use them. My daughter thinks the plastic cap over the eraser is an annoyance, so she doesn't keep that on it anymore. Although there are some nice features to this pencil, overall, the "mechanical pencil queen" still prefers Papermate Clearpoint pencils.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These pencils are great for kids with great colors and easy to use extra lead in pencils and the colors are great. Most kids need number 2 pencils in school so it's great that these are number 2 so they can be used in school. The extra erasers are something I had never seen before but they are really something that kids need when using these kind of pencils

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I know these are intended for students, or those who just love pencils...and well, I guess I fall into the second category. I love pencils. And these glide so nicely across the paper. The grip is solid but comfortable. The colors at exciting, so I don't keep misplacing them. Love, love love!!
