A winner in your hand

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 5 year old disabled son loves these! He has dexterity issues and finds these easier to hold than your plain #2 yellow pencils. He says he only wants to use these from here on out.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I sent the purple BIC mechanical pencil to school with my son for him to use in 6th grade. In the past, standard mechanical pencils wouldn't last long with him. He pushes down very hard as he writes and tends to snap the lead quickly(0.5mm lead) and often cracks the cheap plastic casing. Today he told me that he had a much better experience using this mechanical pencil then others in the past. He said that the lead didn't break like before but it would go back into the pencil instead. He also liked that there was a cover over the eraser so he didn't accidently use the eraser when he didn't mean to. He said over all that the pencil seemed to be stronger then others. He also loved that it came with it's own lead and eraser holder. He told his morning small group class all over it.
I liked the fact that the lead is a little thicker then the standard lead, 0.7mm compared to 0.5mm and that cuts down on breakage while writing.

Great back to school addition!!

They write very nicely, the lead is strong and it erases clean which makes me very happy with these pencils, as well. They are a great addition to their back to school supplies!

So Wonderful and So Close

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think these pencils are wonderful, my children really enjoy using them and they are easy to spot with the great bright colors. The multi pack had appropriate colors for my daughter's liking and for my son's liking. One little thing, and it's really a little thing, the eraser. While the eraser does a fantastic job of erasing the awesome lead, it's barely there and the little lid is beyond easy to misplace. Overall, the price is right for the excellent quality of the actual writing experience, you can't beat it. Also, the fact that the package comes with extra lead and erasers is above and beyond, it truly saves an extra trip later on. I personally love another brand that has the eraser built in with a twist up way to get more of the eraser out; however, I feel a bit like I have to take out a small loan to afford multiples of that brand of pencil. So the quality of the BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencil has won me over, the lead really does write more smoothly than the other brand I was using. The lead has great dark color but is smooth to write with, yet it does erase so nicely! This is a wonderful pencil and so close to perfect.

A must have pencil

Even younger kids love Bic Velocity pencils!

They seem to hold up better than the cheaper brands, the lead seems more sturdy and they don't break as easy. We will definitely be buying some more. They not only come with extra lead but also extra erasers! Awesome!

Smooth lines

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received these in the mail right before school started. I handed them over to my daughter who is a freshman in high school. She put them in her bag for the first day. And now that its been 2 weeks she's been in school. She loves them! Smooth writing, the lead doesn't break easily. They don't feel like the plastic pencil is going break in her hand. They erase everything nothing is left behind like with other pencils. And she seems to be using less lead as well which is great! She loves these so much I went out and bought more packs for the whole school year.

Homework...more fun?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Going back to school has been rough, but having pencils my kids actually like using makes life a little easier!!! My high schooler loves them and has no problems with breaking lead and loves he smooth erase. My middle schooler is rough on her pencils and pushes too hard, frequently breaking the lead. The other issue my middle schooler has is pushing he lead out when she erases (again, too hard). Overall, I am pleased!
