Good quality mechanical pencils

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter really likes BIC Velocity mechanical pencils. They erase cleanly and they are fun bright colors. I like that they came with a refill of lead. The price is reasonable. We'll be repeat users of these mechanical pencils. Thanks to BzzAgent and BIC for allowing us to try them for free!

A++ for my girls

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These pencils came at a great time since my daughter is going back to school. She's been using them for homework and so far, they have been great. It is nice that we don't have to worry about finding a sharpener, and the replacement lead and erasers are a big help. She just entered 2nd grade and feels like a "big kid" with these mechanical pencils. I feel the lead breaks a little easy, but little hands some times press too hard. Other than that - we love them! Thank you for the opportunity to give these a try!

Best Pencils

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Going back to school for my Master's Degree requires a lot of writing to be done. I have found that Bic Mechanical Pencils to be the best pencils yet and I am so happy that I can complete my classes with these free samples that I received. The writing quality is excellent, the pencils are comfortable to use for hours worth of homework. Overall, I have found that I really needed these pencils and can't be happier.

Love the bright colors

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son loves using mechanical pencils instead of regular number 2 pencils you sharpen yourself (as do I) so he was super excited when this campaign arrived at our house. I let him have some and a few to hand out to his friends and kept some for myself and me to hand out to some other moms I know. We all loved the bright colors and the great way they worked and how the lead did not easily snap or break.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These mechanical pencils are fantastic. Every aspect of these pencils has obviously had a lot of thought put into it. The first thing you notice when looking at the package are the beautiful vibrant colors of the pencils. I did a bit of a double take initially, as the pencils, with the soft, built-in grips, strongly resemble pens. Once in hand, the Velocity pencils feel sturdy and more substantial than many mechanical pencils I have used previously. The grip makes writing more comfortable. Writing is smooth and the lead appears quite strong. I was able to complete an entire page of writing without breaking the lead at all. Even more impressive than that, my five-year-old, who presses down heavily while writing, whom I normally would NEVER let use a mechancial pencil, completed her homeowork without breaking a single piece of lead. While the pencil writes darkly, mistakes erase away cleanly. I love that the eraser is capped, ensuring continued clean erasing in the future. Replaceable erasers is pure genius. I always use up erasers long before the life of a pencil has expired. I have a feeling these pencils will last a long time, as they are so high quality. But I will definitely be buying some more to keep on hand. Thank you, BIC!

Great Pencils

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I popped two of these pencils in my 7th grader's backpack one evening, forgetting to let him know about them the next morning. To my surprise, it was the very first thing my middle school son commented on after getting home from school. He thought the pencil grips were wonderful and couldn't believe how easy it was to write with these new BIC Velocity pencils. (He is used to getting generic mechanical pencils.) He liked the capped eraser, as his erasers are always getting dirty in his bag and leaving smudges, that his teachers dislike, on his papers. He wanted to trade me the rest of his generic pencils for the BIC Velocities. He was not thrilled about the purple and pink ones, and wanted to know if there were packs of plain black ones. If there aren't please make some, BIC!
