[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not only are these pencils gorgeous, but the thick lead and soft grip make them my kids' favorites. My college-aged daughter actually begged me to give her both packs, but I made her share with her brother. :)

Good but going, going, gone!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son has been using his BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils at school now for two and a half weeks. Since he was starting middle school, he loved the cool factor of these mechanical pencils. The pack came with 5 mechanical pencils and a convenient refill case which included lead and erasers. The bright colors of the pencils really appealed to him and his friends. I noticed recently that he had personalized them a little more by switching the grip portions on the pencils. For example, the yellow pencil now has a blue grip. I liked that he spontaneously added his own creative touch to his school supplies. The pencil write very smoothly and are comfortable to hold. The lead is strong and does not break easily. The only down side that I have found is that my son has already used all the lead from the pencils and all the refill lead. I was surprised that it only lasted two and a half weeks. I don't know, however, if he was sharing lead with friends or loaning his pencils out. I would recommend this product to friends, and he has stated that he would like to get some more refill lead because he likes the pencils. As an Occupational Therapist, I am also planning on using some of the Bic Velocity Mechanical Pencils with me students. Getting to use mechanical pencils often motivates them for writing tasks. They also help with natural feedback (lead breaking) for students who press too hard. My students have already asked me when I'm going break open the package on my desk.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a son in his last year of junior high and he prefers mechanical pencils than a regular #2 pencil. He usually buy his pencils from school but we had the chance to try out the BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils and he loves them. They don't hurt his fingers from continual use because of the grip they have on them. They're a bit larger than his usual ones so they're less likely to get lost. It doesn't leave any eraser film when he uses the eraser. All in all they are awesome and he likes the colors as well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids have loved using the BIC Velociy Pencils are back to school. So glad we got to try them, and now my kids are ready for class. This pencils have everything they to ready to learn, without haven't to get to sharping their pencils.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think these are great when you don't have access to a pencil sharpener. They erase cleanly, but I found the lead to break easily, making them somewhat inconvenient.

Great mechanical pencils

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My favorite thing about Mechanical pencils in general...being able to write non-stop without having to stop mid thought to sharpen my recently broken or worn-down pencil lead. Even better? The fantastic colors and smoothness that these BIC velocity pencils offer! I LOVE them. There are no draw-backs to these pencils. They erase cleanly, write smoothly and easy to hold onto; my three-year old can even handle them! They even came with both lead and eraser refills! Score!

BIC or bust!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son was thrilled to use these pencils for school this year. Regular pencils hurt his fingers, and sharpening them during class can be a real hassle. The lead and eraser refills are super handy, and the ergonomic grips really help to keep his fingers comfortable! These pencils make schoolwork easier, and hes enjoyed using them. I can see a big imprpvement in the quality of his handwriting, and I think the BIC Velocity pencils are to thank.
I was worried that the school would have an issue with using mechanical pencils, but they were actually well received in each class. Because these are #2 , theyre perfect for all class work and testing! Plus--- the erasers actually erase completely! No more pencil smears and erase marks all over his papers :)
The BIC Velocity pencils have worked wonders for my son, and we will definitely purchase more. I received a free package to test and review, and I highly recommend these pencils!!!

Smooth Writing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So they were a hit... Immediately after I received our pencils, my child started to draw art work on her free style note book. I did not know if it was a pen she was writing with. The writing is soooo smooth. And the colors are a hit. Great style
