LOVE BIC® Velocity® Mechanical Pencils

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While i love mechanical pencils not all pencils are the same. The BIC Velocity pencils are very comfortable to write with. The lead writes smoothly and erases clean. I have not had issues with lead breakage. They arrived before my children started school and they too have raved about the pencils for comfort, easy writing (for taking notes quickly) and the color combination was perfect.

Good Design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used the BIG Velocity mechanical pencils now for a few weeks and continue to like the engineered design of the finger grip. Fits perfectly in my hand and is lighter weight than the pencil I used to use. I love the bold colors as well. The lead is very smooth and doesn't smudge easily, which I certainly appreciate. The only thing that I do not like is the plastic cap on the eraser. I discarded all of those so they don't get in my way.

Nice but awkward

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like that it's a thicker pencil and it's harder to break. I really like the vibrant unique colors especially the yellow. The writing is smooth and comfortable. I took off a star because when you use the eraser the the lead can fall out sometimes. I know that to include the eraser it has to be where it is but most people don't use the eraser so I think it should be removed. I also find that the led breaks very easily. I don't push the led out far and it still finds a way to break. Overall, it's a strong pencil but without the eraser and constant led breaking this will be my go to pencil.

Changed my mind about mechanical pencils

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have to admit, before trying these pencils, I was skeptical. As an English teacher and mom of 7, I haven't had a very positive view on mechanical pencils. The lead breaks easily and leaves a mess all over the table and I feel like I am always buying need lead. BUT... these BIC Velocity pencils have changed my mind about mechanical pencils. The lead is extremely sturdy and holds up to children who like to press hard while writing. The product, the kids' writing is neat and clean, not smudgy! And, no broken lead all over my table! I love it. The kids love it too because I normally wouldn't ever buy them mechanical pencils but these pencils have me giving mechanical pencils a second chance. I would definitely purchase these and know with confidence that my kids are writing with a sturdy, dependable pencil.

Fun to write

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I received the Bic Velocity Mechanical Pencils, I wondered how much could you possibly review on a pencil? In this case, everything about the pencil is great. It looks like a ball point pen. The colors of the barrel are bold and vibrant. The lead of the pencil is strong and glides smoothly over the surface. The eraser cleanly erases any marks made. My kids love writing and drawing with these pencils and asked to have more to share with their friends.

Good thing I have another for myself. Who am I kidding I know once I bring them to work when the school year starts I'll give away most of them.
