Clean and clear

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids range from elementary to school to a senior in college and I have to say that the FIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils really are perfect for each range of the age spectrum. The colored barrels make it easy for my 11 year old to keep track of which pencil is his in class and the sharp, smooth writing is great for my 20 year old college son. The easy to erase lead and eraser that is attached well and of good quality fit the bill for my 15 year old son. I love that I can buy affordable yet durable replacement leads for this pencil and my local stores. I have already purchased several more packs , each kid can have his own color to keep track of. Highly recommend.

Great for many things!

My son draws often and these work so well for the fine detail in his drawings. It help him bring out his artistic abilities. They're also great for my daughter to practice her cursive writing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils are definitely the best mechanical pencils on the market. My son loves mechanical pencils and always asks for them for school. When he first tried the BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils he immediately commented on how dark and smooth they write. He tried the eraser and was happy to report that everything erased right off with no leftovers lead marks. He absolutely loves how strong the lead is and that it doesn't break off easily. The BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils will definitely be the new pencils in out home!!!

Mechanical versus wooden

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I always have had to buy both mechanical and traditional wooden pencils for my boys. My oldest enjoys mechanical but my youngest hated them. These he really likes. They don't scratch and squeak like the traditional mechanical pencils do. The writing is darker and doesn't require redoing it or going over it multiple times. The eraser is strongly made and erases well. The grip on the pencils make them very comfortable for those long days of writing reports and so on. We were very pleased with these pencils and felt they were quite a nice package with the extra lead and so on.

I did not "get" how good they were till I used them for my planner. I'm officially hooked and my planner thanks you!

Smooth and Steady

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I appreciate everything about the Bic Velocity Mechanical Pencils that I received for free, from Bic, in return for my honest opinion. The retractable tip and the comfort grip are the two best assists! The retractable tip guides lead to the paper and then stabilizes the lead as you write, this makes for a smooth pen-like feeling. The comfort grips, along with the fact that the pencil is round, makes for painless writing. I remember the mechanical pencils from my younger years, when they were squared off, and by my second paragraph, my fingers were cramped and branded by the seams of the pencil. The innovated technology of a rounded pencil and built in comfort grips are extraordinary! I received 2-5 packs of the Bic Velocity pencils, each pack came with 12 extra non toxic leads and 5 extra non toxic durable erasers. The leads are 0.7 mm, and #2 hb making the perfect for school testing. These pencils are simply remarkable, going above and beyond my expectation of a mechanical pencil.
