I am extremely impressed!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using mechanical pencils for decades and these are by FAR the best ones I have ever used. WHY? Let me tell you - they really feel like you are using a pen and the lead isn't really fragile. You don't have to push the lead out far for it to write - when I use it the lead is so small that I always think I am grabbing a pen and then realize I have a pencil when I go to write. I get re-impressed all the time when I realize its a pencil writing that smoothly and easily. I LOVE these pencils. I have NOTHING bad to say about them!

BIC Velocity pencils are the best!

The BIC Velocity mechanical pencils passed the "coolness" test and were a big hit! Thanks for making a great product that kids love!

Smooth writing

On her first day of school she was telling me that they write smooth and do not break like other mechanical pencils. Normally my kiddo does not care about her pencil other than if she has one. These she asked me to buy more of. Even her penmanship looks better with these pencils.

BIC® Velocity® Mechanical Pencils

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I personally never liked mechanical pencils. As a "pressure writer", meaning I press very hard when writing, the lead was ALWAYS breaking. Then I tried the BIC® Velocity® Mechanical Pencils - I was hesitant at first, thinking I would be let down again, however, these pencils stand up to the challenge! They DON'T BREAK! Here's the skivvy:
1) Write smoothly with dark lead you can actually see without a magnifying glass
2) Soft rubber grip = comfortable to write with
3) Comes w/ lead refills - you won't need a lot because the lead is strong and doesn't constantly break!
4) Comes w/ eraser refills - and guess what?? The erasers actually work and erase cleanly!!
5) They are colorful and fun!

Love these pencils!

The lead does not break as easy as some of the other mechanical pencils. My 11 year old son also loves these pencils. He has struggled with his handwriting and these have helped to make his writing so much more legible. I am definitely buying these again. Great job BIC!

Great with the exception...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love these pencils. In fact, I had a difficult time sharing them with others. The only thing I have an issue with is when I am erasing, the mechanism for advancing the lead seems to be "sensitive". Not sure how else to better explain it. I have not noticed that problem with other mechanical pencils. Other than that, these pencils are great! The grip is sturdy and the pencil feels more like I am gripping a pen.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think BIC has another winner on its hands with the Velocity Mechanical Pencils. My son wanted mechanical pencils this year for 5th grade and these fit the bill perfectly. The bright colors keep the pencils from getting lost in his desk and the lead writes smooth and dark without undue pressure. This keeps his hands from cramping up with all the writing they do. And the extra erasers - that's a brilliant idea. Wish mechanical pencils came with extra erasers when I was in school!

Neat pencils

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think these pencils are great, they are a welcome change from the plain boring mechanical pencils. All kids love mechanical pencils and they are something different from the ones they have always used. We will have to see how they hold up since they have only used them for 2 weeks.
