[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Actually I really enjoy using this pencil. I thought all mechanical pencils we're the same. Well I was wrong !! I thoroughly enjoyed the fact that this pencil don't break like most mechanical pencils. I liked the soft grub of it also. My kids we're just happy it came in different colors !

The best around!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids have been using these at school for the past two weeks and are loving them. I took one to work and have been getting a lot of use out of it myself. The lead holds up better than traditional mechanical pencils which is good because my kids can write hard, breaking traditional and other mechanical pencil lead frequently.
The new pencils also don't smear as much either. For a left handed person like myself, that is of huge importance when choosing a writing implement. I usually end up with pen ink or pencil lead all down the side of my hand.
The eraser is very functional, but small. With all of the writing and re-writing my kids do, a big eraser is a must. While it is nice that the eraser comes with a cap, my kids lost theirs the first time they removed it, so it wasn't of too much importance to them in the design.
Overall, I would highly recommend these pencils for people of all ages looking for a good pencil!

Color and Smooth Moves.

I love to try new writing items when I find them at the store, as I'm an artist and my oldest daughter is taking after me. She loves doodling so much, It's easier to buy mechanical pencils than replace a pencil sharpener every few months. She requested I continue to buy BIC® Velocity® Mechanical Pencils, as she likes the colors and the thickness of the lead for drawing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love BIC Pencils, but the new BIC Velocity pencil is great. It writes evenly and I enjoy using it. I find myself making unnecessary additions to my to do list. The yellow traditional BIC mechanical pencils got a great upgrade with the fun new colors. It has a grip and feels substantial in your hand. I will be buying more of these. I shared them with my daughter but hid a few back for myself.

They write so smooth and are so easy to use. The erasers last longer than the cheap ones I usually buy. Love that they also come with lead and eraser refills. Great product!

1) The tip always broke
2) The grip always seemed to feel weird and would always give me a callus on my finger
3) The eraser would always run out and would have to buy a single eraser
4) They would write very light
5) Would always smudge
6) It never came with refillable anything

So after trying Bic Velocity Mechanical Pencils; they have fixed all of my issues I had with mechanical pencils:
1) Smooth and dark writing
2) Durable eraser
3) Refills for BOTH lead and eraser!!! - Amazing!!!
4) Soft grip and comfortable
5) The retractable tip helps the lead not break and gives it support while writing

Makes Your Kids Feel Grown Up

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 11 year old boys absolutely loved these mechanical pencils. They still need to use pencils because they make mistakes, but this took it to the next level. They felt like "bigger" kids using them. They wrote smoothly and didn't seem to smudge much. The boys also thought it was cool that there was extra lead and erasers with the pack so they didn't have to be purchased separately. Best of all, the fun colors made it easy for the boys to know which pencil belonged to them. My family had a great experience with Bic Velocity Mechanical Pencils
