Great for the price

Remember those grey file cabinets from WWII? You know the bomb proof ones? This IS NOT one of those. That said there is NOTHING wrong with this file cabinet. The drawers open and close quite smoothly. Overall fit and finish is really good. The inside bottom of the drawers is NOT totally flat as there are ridges in the metal bottom to provide additional stiffness. That does not impair the usability or functionality of this cabinet in any way. I would recommend this file cabinet and I would buy it again if I had need to.

The drawer handles are too thin and flimsy. The screws that secure the handles are too small and roughly threaded making them easy to strip. Also there are no washers for the screws. The end result is a cheaply constructed file cabinet with loose handles. Nevertheless this file cabinet is a good value while it is on sale for less than $100.

Love mynew file cabinet with drawer

This unit is light but strong enough. It fit perfectly under my desk. I particularly love the top drawer and built in file hangers. It was supposed to arrive on Saturday but it came on Friday instead. Yeah Staples.

Good file for the money

Bought this for a home office I keep for a non-profit organization so price and value and quality were all considered. I really like the top drawer to be able to keep supplies in as well as have a place for things that "need to be filed but don't fit anywhere items." It took a few minutes to screw the handles in with a small Phillips head screwdriver (not included) but set up easily and is quite compact. The interior molding allow letter files to stand vertical even if you don't have a ton of them.
